Monty
Python Set to 'Spam' Sin City | TV Stars Sell Themselves in
Vegas

Tickets go on sale today for
King Arthur's new reign on the Strip when 'Spamalot'
opens March 31 with a gala, star-studded premiere. Previews
will start March 8! Can you believe it was back in 1969 that
Monty Python first aired on British-TV, the same year
coincidentally when Elvis Presley became a
Vegas resident and my friend Buzz Aldrin
joined Neil Armstrong for that first walk
on the Moon? Now almost 40-years later the inspired lunacy
of the madcap British comics is back at the brand new
specially constructed Grail Theater at the
Wynn with 'Spamalot,' a deliriously hilarious send-up
spoof of the Knights of the Round Table and their quest for
the Holy Grail.
Python comic Eric
Idle's show features lusty maidens, dancing divas,
a killer rabbit and the only legless knight appearing on the
Las Vegas Strip. My fine-wine drinking friend John
O'Hurley,
(right) best known as J. Peterman on 'Seinfeld' will star as
King Arthur. John, often
seen
in Vegas was the ultimate champion on Season 1 of 'Dancing
with The Stars' and is also the new host of Family Feud.
John has often worked on stage throughout his career and
recently starred on Broadway in the hit Chicago musical.
John is also known for his God-like role in the heavenly
Xerox commercials!
Tongue in chic Eric (seen below) commented about opening at
the Wynn: "I love Las Vegas. It will be wonderful when it's
finished." Steve Wynn added: "I'm pleased
to announce that the search for The Holy Grail has finally
ended at Wynn Las Vegas. This achievement is in no small
part due to the relentless energies and psychotic obsession
of Eric Idle and Mike Nichols. The world
owes these two a great debt of gratitude and prompt payment
of their Medicare checks!"

I saw the show exactly a year
ago on Broadway, and have nothing but raves for it. I hadn't
laughed that much in 25 years. It took two hours before my
sides stopped hurting. It is brilliant in every respect; the
songs, the stupidity, the music, the jokes, and deserves to
be the wildest hit of its kind in Vegas. Monty Python's 'Spamalot;
is written by Eric Idle and is a laugh-a-minute loving
rip-off from the original Python Holy Grail movie by
Graham Chapman, John Cleese,
Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle,
Terry Jones and Michael Palin.
The show is directed by Oscar and Tony Award-winning legend
Mike Nichols of 'The Graduate,' 'Silkwood,'
'Carnal Knowledge' and 'Primary Colors' fame.
TV STARS SELL THEIR
SHOWS
It's another all-star celebrity invasion as the TV
broadcasters convention known as NATPE (National Association
of Television Program Executives) gets underway at
Mandalay Bay. I'll be there tonight with all the VH1
executives celebrating the ratings success of our new 'Fame
Games' series. My Executive Producer pal, Cris
Abrego, who also produces 'Flavor of Love' is set
to be a panelist this afternoon examining the merits of
today's primetime programming vs. reality programming. About
8,000 programmers, producers and stars including good
friends, Vanna White, Pat Sajak,
Alex Trebek and Mary Hart from
my old Entertainment Tonight show will be on hand for the
four day event, which kicked off last night with the
Brandon Tartikoff awards. Luxe Life will
have the full report next week.
Hawaiian Tropic
Zone Opening Sexy Bar & Restaurant in Las Vegas

Ever since the gorgeous
bikini beauties of Hawaiian Tropic opened their debut
Hawaiian Tropic Zone bar, restaurant and entertainment
complex in Times Square the dining attraction has been one
massive hit and now the company will announce this morning
that it will open its first complex outside of Manhattan
right here in Vegas.
The
company's second venture will be located in the
Desert Passages (soon to be Miracle Mile) shopping
center at the
Aladdin Hotel which is undergoing a remodeling to open
as Planet Hollywood later this year. The HT Zone in New York
City is known for its sexy modern decor, a three-tier dining
room , 2-story waterfall and a cat-walk stage for nightly
entertainment. But its the exotic Hawaiian Tropic models and
beauty-queens who serve as "table concierges" to assist
guests that are the real attraction.
Each night they take part in a beauty pageant where diners
get to vote for the new reigning queen who only gets to
serve for 24 hours unless she's voted the next night's
winner again! One Vegas dining expert told Luxe Life
this morning, "This is a totally new and different concept
for Vegas. Yes, it will sure bring glitz, glamour and
sex-appeal entertainment into our fine dining scene."
David Edelstein,
co-owner of the Desert Passage shopping mall, commented, "We
are very excited to have Hawaiian Tropic Zone bring its
creative blend of dining, entertainment and nightlife to
Desert Passage. Hawaiian Tropic Zone's innovative and
energetic atmosphere is yet another example of the
electrifying transformations occurring as we evolve into
Miracle Mile Shops."

I've known Hawaiian Tropic owner Ron Rice
(here with a bevy of beauties) for more than 20-years and
he's even had me as one of his celebrity judges at the
annual beauty pageants, some of which are often held here in
Vegas. He began his multi-million-dollar sun-tan company
while he was working as a lifeguard on the beach and
couldn't find a suntan lotion that worked well enough to
protect him. So he invented his own and parlayed himself
into multi-millionaire status. It was always his dream to
add a dining and entertainment element to his tanning and
beauty empire. Ron will be back here April 4-5 at the Mirage
for the coveted Miss Hawaiian Tropic International beauty
pageant.
Spend a
Sex-Filled Day with Porn Star Sunset Thomas

Porn princess Sunset
Thomas is one of Vegas' newest residents, and now
hosts an Internet syndicated radio show from the
Palomino Club here. In addition, she starred in the HBO
TV series 'Cathouse.' Luxe Life asked her to tour
the
Adult Video Expo, act as our eyes and ears, and jot down
her notes into a private diary. She took
Luxe Life
photographer Scott Doctor along for the
convention day and here's the full report from Sunset's very
own private diary:
In the 15 years I've worked in the adult industry, I can
hardly remember missing an AVN convention. This year,
however, marked the first time I represented the press and
not the talent.
Seeing that I'm the youngest
inductee in the AVN Hall of Fame, it was only fitting that
the first
person I bumped into was AVN President Paul Fishbein.
The eternally, fresh-faced Fishbein was beaming as the
convention hall was already bustling at 11AM.
Heading towards the Hustler
booth I came upon my old friend Robin Byrd.
The Robin Byrd Show has been airing on Manhattan Cable for
30 years! Anyone who's anyone in the adult industry has sat
topless with her on TV. Robin flipped the script and
interviewed me for a segment that will air sometime in the
future.
The flashbacks just kept
coming as I found myself at Nina Hartley's
booth. Nina's got a new book out, 'Nina Hartley's Guide to
Total Sex,' with an awesome cover by my favorite artist,
Olivia. Nina was my mentor -- the single
woman in the industry whom I truly admired when I was coming
up. And, well, sex with Nina is total satisfaction...
It was already feeling like a family reunion and then I hit
the Vivid booth and, viola,
