Polly Esther’s nightclub group from New
York City to open the very first mega
club in Las Vegas that brings all of
their signature nightclubs under one
roof at the Stratosphere Casino Hotel
and Tower in February of 2007. The
highly successful signature clubs of
“Polly Esther’s,” “Nerve Ana” and
“Culture Club” are popular throughout
North America and are renowned for their
extremely detailed “decade themed”
venues. Polly Esther’s Las Vegas will
debut “Suite 2000,” a club themed around
this decade and specially designed for
Las Vegas. Polly Esther’s is a 1970s
themed club within the mega venue. A lit
up dance floor from “Saturday Night
Fever” under a disco ball is the place
to do the Hustle, disco dance and groove
to classics. There are also twelve-foot
statues of 70s icons in the likes of
Farrah Fawcett, John Travolta and Rocky
Balboa. Polly Esther’s is open
Wednesday through Sunday. Doors open at
8p. Experience the Weird Science of the
1980s in the Culture Club. A “Purple
Rain” dance floor, oversized Rubik’s
Cube just daring you to solve it,
massive murals of 80s icons and a
vintage “Back to the Future” DeLorean
suspended from the ceiling encourages
guests to celebrate the decade of
“excess.” One full wall is a working Pac
Man game. Culture Club is open Wednesday
through Sunday. Doors open at 8p. Those
looking to sip cocktails with names such
as “Billy Ray Citrus” and “Ricki
Martini” while sitting in a white Ford
Bronco a la OJ Simpson can head to the
“Nerve Ana” room. Guests can rock out in
the 1990s themed club to the likes of
Boy Bands and Sir Mix-a-Lot while
mingling with Bill Clinton and Monica
Lewinski impersonators. Large murals of
the decade’s pop culture stars such as
the cast of “Beverly Hills 90210” cover
the walls. Nerve Ana is open Wednesday
through Sunday. Doors open at 10p.
Escape nostalgia in Suite 2000, a
spin-off of San Francisco’s premier
nightclub Suite One8One with a Las Vegas
twist. In an atmosphere that fuses New
York, Los Angeles and Miami, DJs will
spin today’s hottest hip-hop, house,
Detroit funk and rock & roll tunes.
Suite 2000 is open Wednesday through
Sunday. Doors open at 11p.

For the first time ever in its 24 years,
“Legends in Concert” at the Imperial
Palace Casino will headline a comedian
to host the show. Beginning Monday,
Feb.12, musical comedian and
impressionist Stephen Sorrentino stars
in the celebrity tribute show with
excerpts from his original hit
production “Voices in My Head” and
reprises his critically acclaimed
impersonation of legendary rocker Elton
John. Sorrentino captivates audiences
with his cutting-edge wisecracking and
ingeniously clever takeoffs that include
a whacky “Tribute to Led Zeppelin,”
classic voices such as Groucho, Pee Wee
Herman, Jerry Lewis, Ethel Merman, Joan
Rivers and Donald Trump and a
“politically incorrect tribute to Sammy
Davis Jr.” Then he rocks showgoers with
the No. 1 Elton John impersonation in
the world. Sorrentino credits “Legends
in Concert” with giving him his first
big break in 1997 – 10 years ago to the
day – that launched his successful
multifaceted career. Sorrentino
replaces the Blues Brothers and U2 in
the current lineup, which also includes
Marilyn Monroe, Rod Stewart, Janet
Jackson and Elvis Presley.
“Legends in Concert,” in its 24th year,
is a full-production spectacular with
dancers, singers and live musicians.
Enjoy incredible look-alike and
sound-alike performances of an
ever-changing lineup of superstars.
Shows are nightly at 7:30p and 10p
except Sunday. Tickets are $49.95 and
$59.95; children 12 and under beginning
at $34.95.
