The MAIN Event Returns with ‘The Show'

  We hope you’ve enjoyed the somewhat calmer week that followed All-Star weekend and the MAGIC convention because it’s history. Next up for the busy spring season is the 26th annual Nightclub & Bar Convention which takes over the Las Vegas Convention Center for all things hospitality-related, especially since the Las Vegas International Restaurant Show and Las Vegas Hospitality Expo became part of ‘The Show’. Of course you can stop by the Las Vegas Food & Beverage Magazine booth for some rest and refreshment on the showroom floor, but that’s not the primary reason why you should be excited;

it’s the parties, the parties, the parties! Last year, we hosted three off-the-hook parties that still have the convention floor abuzz and this year will be no different. Not one, not two, but three amazing parties on three consecutive nights for your Nightclub & Bar enjoyment! Read on, and don’t forget to RSVP, as each one of these parties will reach capacity. We guarantee it!

For the 3rd consecutive year, we will be presenting The MAIN Event, Honoring the Top 100 Nightclubs in America, and the party has never been bigger.

On Monday, March 5th, nightclub, bar and lounge operators from all over the country will be converging at The Palms Resort for ‘The Greatest Party on Earth’, a circus-like environment that will fill each of The Palms’ nightlife venues with out-of-this-world elements and surprises around each and every corner. That’s right, the party won’t just be in MOON Nightclub or ghostbar, but also in Rain Nightclub (where the “Red Rocker”, Sammy Hagar, will get the evening started with a blowout concert bash) and the Playboy Club. This event simply gets bigger and better each year, and this year’s party will be no different. Taking on an added level of importance, Las Vegas landed 14 venues on the national list of the Top 100 Nightclubs in the country, so this party is a chance for the local industry to celebrate our successes on a national platform. Come out, enjoy and party Las Vegas, you deserve it!

To RSVP to The MAIN Event honoring the Top 100 Nightclubs in America and The Greatest Party on Earth, please click here.

You know we enjoy sharing the industry love so groups representing Las Vegas nightclubs, bars and restaurants maybe eligible for complimentary VIP tables and bottle service. If you’re interested in bringing out your team for the party, please email us here.

The next night, Tuesday, March 6th, Las Vegas Food & Beverage Magazine is joining forces with PURE Nightclub (Caesars Palace) and Ketel One Vodka as we introduce nightclub nation to one of the hottest local industry nights around, PURE Tuesdays. PURE has seemingly had a stranglehold on the collective conscious of the country as it has continued to drop hot party after celebrity appearance after sick DJ performance and on Tuesday, March 6th that will be no different as DJ AM takes over the wheels of steel for a rare weekday performance strictly for the locals! Already a hotbed of attention for Nightclub and Bar attendees, add LVFBM and DJ AM into the mid-week formula and this party is certainly looking to be one of the highlights of the convention.

To RSVP to Local Tuesday at PURE Nightclub on Tuesday, March 6th, featuring nationally acclaimed DJ AM, please click here.

Groups representing Las Vegas nightclubs, bars and restaurants may be eligible for a VIP Table and complimentary bottle of Ketel one Vodka. For more information, please email us here.

Lastly, on Wednesday, March 7th, LVFBM will be wrapping up ‘The Show’ in-style with a blowout bash at Wynn Las Vegas’ re-emerging nightlife venue, LURE Ultra Lounge. You can read ‘Christie LURES’ below for all the goings-on at the elegant ultra lounge, but if re-launching Industry Wednesday’s at LURE is the order of the moment, than the un-official Nightclub & Bar closing party for all of our industry friends seems like the right call. While more details on this party will be announced next week, look for LVFBM to welcome LURE back to the nightlife scene while saying goodbye to another year of Nightclub & Bar Madness!

To RSVP to the un-official Nightclub & Bar Convention closing party at LURE Ultra Lounge on Wednesday, March 7th please click here.

Groups representing Las Vegas nightclubs, bars and restaurants may be eligible for a VIP Table and complimentary bottle. please email us here

So you got that? Monday at The Palms for The MAIN Event and Greatest Party on Earth, Tuesday at PURE with DJ AM and the un-official closing party at LURE on Wednesday. See you there, and now, to the news!

All That Drag
An Eye Exclusive

KRAVE Las Vegas has made a move to help further establish itself as one of the country’s premier alternative lifestyle nightlife venues by acquiring the local rights to the famous NYC eatery, Lucky Cheng’s Drag Cabaret Restaurant.

Lucky Cheng’s, which had briefly opened doors across from the Stardust, will immediately make the move to its new permanent home inside KRAVE’s venue on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue. A hit in New York’s East Village since it opened in 1993, Cheng’s is known for its colorful atmosphere and world-class Pan-Asian cuisine almost as much as it is for its drag entertainment, cabaret performances and daring audience participation. “By acquiring Lucky Cheng’s Las Vegas, KRAVE strengthens its position as the premier gay nightclub in America, and also broadens the overall appeal of our brand,” said club director Bill Huggins.  “Lucky Cheng’s is famous for outrageous dining fun and over-the-top drag queen entertainment.  It complements our existing nightclub operations and creates an entertaining dining experience that appeals to a wide audience, gay and straight.” With a full-service kitchen and three bar areas on property, KRAVE is certainly suited to host Lucky Cheng’s, which should be a hit with the alternative masses enjoying KRAVE each and every weekend. It also gives KRAVE the ability to offer a very ‘TAO-like’ service experience by offering dining and nightlife under the same roof. The larger question to KRAVE and Cheng’s, will they be able to widen their audience and find fans in the straight community? We’re just as interested to find out as they are. Let’s just file this under ‘possibility pending’ for the time being.

Quick Bites

Yeah okay, you can call us birthday spoilers if you want. The owners of Minxx Gentlemen’s Club, the scene of the All Star games worst incident, have told investigators that Tennessee Titans rookie Pacman Jones was one of the primary sources for the scuffle that led to gunfire during the All Star weekend festivities. The festival starts at 5pm Friday the 16th thru Sunday the 18th with 20 hours of free concerts during the weekend including great acts such as “The Las Vegas Tenors,” “Carrot Top,” “The Phil Flowers Show,” and “DJ Curtain and Irish Affair” among others. There will be major food vendors, specialty merchandise, a fabulous carnival, glass blower demos, face painting and raffles.

It would appear as though JET Nightclub (The Mirage) is getting closer to making their Thursday night ‘House Music, Main Room’ promotions a regular, weekly occurrence. The first test would seemingly be upon us when JET drops back-to-back Thursday promotions starting on March 1st when acclaimed DJ’s Mark Farina and Roger Sanchez collaborate for an evening of fantastic house music. The ‘Main Room’ concept has slowly been picking up steam with past performances from Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong and Bad Boy Bill. And besides, isn’t that why JET hired house music minstrel Josh Donaldson and house music VIP Host with the Most, Brian Klimaski, to go along with the “queen of house”, Zee Zandi? This story is certainly one to follow…

Think TAO Beach is going to rock the summertime heat? You better believe it, last week over 1,000 applicants clamored into TAO Nightclub vying for one of the few dozen positions they were interviewing for.

We wanted to send out Happy Birthday wishes to one of the truly under appreciated guys in the business, PURE Management Group’s Steven Klimaski. You know we got mad love for ya buddy!
