Community Empowerment… is a new one-hour business & community TV talk show that gives its audience a glimpse into the “World” of local Chamber of Commerce organizations, non-profit agencies, prominent business leaders, women & minority business owners, entrepreneurs, community events and entertainment in the Vegas Valley. Guests will share real-world insight on their accomplishments; hardships and lessons learned from the front lines of one of the fastest growing cities in American history.
Lillian the former KVVU TV FOX5 Public Affairs Director and Producer/Host of A. M. Southern Nevada will host this new community based show. Ms. McMorris said “the decision to return to television was an easy one, I truly feel blessed to have this opportunity.” As a Vegas native, Lillian brings more than her award winning talent, she brings numerous years of experience in assisting local community groups such as: Planned Parenthood, Aid for AIDS in Nevada and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada just to name a few.
Production for the show began February 10, 2007 and the show will air weekly starting Wednesday March 21st at 10:00 AM, re-airing on Monday mornings at 4:00am on VEGAS TV Cable 14 /Channel 25 KTUD TV. The show will be archived and stream on the Internet, www.lillianshow.com. Executive Producer, Theresa Goss said “Lillian may have retired from FOX5, but she has never stopped spreading the word and showing her support for the people and organizations in the community. Her television presence has been greatly missed and it’s a privilege to work with her on this project.”
