    Latino Youth Leadership Conference Committee

One of the first official actions taken by our new Chairman, Robert Gomez, was to create the Latino Youth Leadership Conference Committee. The Latino Youth Leadership Conference was founded in June of 1994 by longtime Chamber member, Tom Rodriguez, and Dr. Maria Chairez. This year will mark the 12th year anniversary of the conference.

The Latino Youth Leadership Conference Committee will review and make recommendations pertinent to grant applications, contracts, curriculum content, student safety, and student and staff behavioral guidelines. Chairing the Latino Youth Leadership Conference Committee will be one of the original founders of the program, Tom Rodriguez. Other members include Larry Mason, Victoria Napoles, Dr. Rene Cantu, Alma Garcia-Vining, Dan Tafoya, Javier Trujillo, Irene Bustamante, Aaron Sidranski, Elizabeth Gallagher, and Dr. Aldo Aguirre. LCC Chairman Robert Gomez and LYLC Coordinator, Ricardo Reyna, will be ex-officio members of the committee. The first meeting of the Committee was held on March 6, 2006 at the Desert Pines Golf Course Club House.
