I'M CONFLICTED, WHO cares what I think, and should a fantastic after-party with 1,500 people, great food, young, scantly dressed girls serving the best booze, make a difference in my review? Maybe.
I did not like Blue Man Group; even the big finale, being covered with toilet paper didn't work for me. The Boss sez go review Stomp Out Loud, so I go, but I have no idea what the show is about.
The show opens with one guy and a broom, he bangs it on the stage, and other people banging brooms soon join him. However after 15 minutes, I was all set to hear music, singing, a band; but no, just more people stomping more everyday items, trashcans and the like, for 90 minutes. The show was spectacular, the choreography was marvelous, and the rhythm was very cool, but it's not my cup of tea. Nevertheless at the end, the 1,500 people in the theater stood up and cheered. As I said, who cares what I think?
Stomp has a beautiful new theater, a mall at the entrance, with a roulette-wheel fountain, The Stomp Store, and food and drink places. No smoking anywhere, but the Stomp Store sold Stomp Zippo Lighters for $30. Is this an oxymoron?
Now it's on to the after party. The young girls escorted all the guests to a large banquet room with Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin music playing in the background. This was my turf, there were 15 food stations, serving Filet Mignons, Roast Pork and Broiled Lamb, Shrimp as big as your arm, Crab Legs the size of your hip. Fantastic deserts, Cotton Candy, Candy Apples, Ice Cream. There were 10 bars scattered around the room, serving the very best boozeit was an orgy of food, booze, music, and young girls
I needed a doggy bag. Unfortunately, I had old batteries in my camera, so I don't have any pictures, you'll have to take my word for it, THE PARTY WAS FUN.
Thanks, Boss.
