Lately I have been sending our wonderful VCO columnists out to cover all the great events and shows going on around this exciting town of ours. But, for a change, I decided I wanted to attend this year's MeatBall Awards. So, I called the “Kid” and said "Take me to the MeatBall Awards."
So on Sunday, as advertised, the Imperial Palace’s Showroom was turned into the home of the 3rd Annual MeatBall Awards. Cork Proctor donned the hat of master of ceremonies for the evening, and as always, was at the top of his game. His sharp cutting wit took no hostages, everyone was fair game, even the musical conductor for the evening Artie Schroeck and his wife the “Meow” gal" Linda November, were not immune. |
The musical entertainment for the evening was "The Society of Seven" with the fabulous Lani Misalucha. Also delighting the audience with songs were Denise Clemente, Grant Griffin and a wonderful surprise number by Chef of the year, Charles "Chas" La Forte.
