The “Secret” and the “Law of Attraction” that everyone is talking about right now are just waiting for you to take a hold of with both hands… like a gift…  A gift of the secret laws of the universe that can change and enhance every area of your life just waiting to be received!  What a wonderful thought that is! 

I began learning this “secret” intuitively early in my career, as I was trying to find employees who would hire disabled people.  Unfortunately, there were many “naysayers” who told me that I could never do it… it was too “hard” a sell.  I was determined, however, to do this.   My total focus and goal was to make the lives of my clients better and to give employers the opportunity to work with some pretty fabulous people.   I concentrated on the “positives” of how peoples’ lives could change and improve.  I focused on the positive aspects of my work and believed with all my heart that this work could be accomplished.  And it was!  My life and the lives of many others were transformed. 

Now, many years later, what I was doing intuitively is “the talk of the town!”  But what does all this mean in your life, your business, and your relationships?  How do you become a World Class Networker using certain basic principles of “The Secret” and the “Law of Attraction?”  Well, fasten your seatbelts… you’re taking that leap into a new world of possibility and potential.

What does being a World Class Networker mean?  It means that that our feelings and thoughts attract real events in the world into our lives; from the workings of the cosmos to interactions among individuals in their physical, emotional, and professional affairs.  It means that we need to focus on our accomplishments in every area of life. It means that we need to know that our hard work, sacrifice and perseverance are valuable not only to ourselves, but to everyone that buys our products, uses our services, or is a client.  It means that we understand that most of us have “negative” thoughts and self-doubts, and we accept that in ourselves and others, but what thoughts and feelings do we “act” on? What thoughts or feelings do we focus on to live the life we’ve always dreamed of?   That is the “secret,” the “key,” if you will, to what happens in our lives both professionally and personally.

An example… you go to a networking event, everyone is talking to someone and you are standing there by yourself.  What are your thoughts and feelings?  “I’m unpopular,” “I don’t know what to do with myself,” “Why doesn’t anyone want to talk to me?” “I’m wasting my time…I could be home watching tv.”  Yes, that’s what you could be thinking and feeling and where will that lead you?  To be sure, it won’t lead you to enhancing your or other peoples’ lives, building your business or personal relationships.  Instead, you can acknowledge that you’re nervous and upset (being REAL is part of the “Secret” also), BUT you can:  take this time to observe others, walk around, see if there is anyone else not talking to someone, smile at people, notice an interesting item of clothing on someone and comment,  just hand your business card to someone who is waiting for a drink.  Decide on a goal of possibly just connecting with one other person.  You don’t have to talk to everyone and each event has its own “ambiance” and some will be more productive than others.  However, each has its value to you and lessons to be learned.   Remember that you, your product or service  are extremely valuable and nothing, nobody, nowhere, nohow can change that.  Feel the negative feelings and thoughts you might have as clouds that are just passing… and no matter how many clouds there are, the sun is ALWAYS shining!

The “Secret” to becoming a World Class Networker is coming closer now.   Your value both professionally and personally are dependent ONLY on what YOU think about yourself and what you have to offer.  You have the internal power to transform your thinking and view of yourself and the world.   You can raise your vibration to one that inspires trust, creates positive and nurturing relationships, builds financial success, and makes you the “Star” you really are.  As Marianne Williamson said: “We are all meant to shine, as children do… And as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” 

By using the Law of Attraction and understanding that it is up to each of us to create the life we desire, we have new found freedom and the tools to build and grow in every direction… our Intent is one of our strongest assets.  If we set our minds, hearts and spirits to attracting all the goodness and abundance the universe has to offer, we can overcome any obstacle.  We can turn our weaknesses into strengths and transform our strengths into power.  Every business and social networking event is another opportunity to hone our skills of positive thinking and acting.  Every event is another occasion to open new pathways of potential, personally and professionally.   The “Secret” is yours…  explore it! use it! expand it!  We can CHOOSE our life and be World Class in every way.
