AMERICAN GANGSTAS IN LAS VEGAS?
The gangs which have put a scar on our society have done so by way of New York City, Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Gang violence is not slowing down by any means. In fact the hostility and the hate that gang members have for other gangs is at an all-time high. There is however a number of organizations such as I AM which is headed by Lawrence T. that has helped alleviate some of the problems with crime and drug dealing in Las Vegas.

There was another gentlemen who spent a lot of time in Las Vegas, he was Stanley "Tookie" Williams the notorious gang leader who started the Crips. Williams was a feared gang leader who used violence to gain respect. He however accomplished a great deal in writing a series of books against gang violence. "Tookie Speaks Out Against Gang Violence" co written by Barbara Cottman Becnel won two national book honors. It has caused the "wanna be" gang members to stop romanticizing gang warfare and has caused those who have already joined a gang to want to get out. Just for the record, gangs were started as a club. I know I was in one. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way in the sixties and seventies where segregation played a big part in whether African-Americans could get a job.

That is when other gangsters came into the picture such as The Chambers Brothers from Detroit, Nicky Barnes from New York and Ricky Ross from Los Angeles. So what's the bottom line you might ask? Rehabilitation, a lot of love and an opportunity for education to enter a profession that pays well. As long as we ignore the situation in the urban areas there won't be any improvement. In fact the problems could end up in your neighborhood or your door step. I would advise anyone to get the book written by Stanley "Tookie" Williams. It will certainly give you some insight.

PEDOPHILES SEEK REHABILITATION THROUGH CARE
Penny Jackson who runs CARE a non-profit organization which rehabilitates parolees and pedophiles is working hard to put these individuals in a proper structure to live a balance life. According to Michael Carter her associate, the government would like to control a rehabilitation program for pedophiles throughout the country. That's not surprising because it is a lucrative program. Qualified people such as Penny Jackson have a great success record. Incidentally, Ms. Jackson non-profit organization is one of the charities involved in The Players Toast Awards at the Playboy Mansion on September 8, 2007.

DONALD TRUMP NOW A PART OF LAS VEGAS
He is aggressive and without question the big TV personality he set out to be. The successful developer that said he one day would have a development in Las Vegas proved his point. Trump International is a place where they celebrated the topping off of the first tower. Tower one is sixty four stories high and will offer 1,282 condominium/hotel rooms upon its opening in 2008. "There is a little bit of downturn, but there is downturns all over. One in Chicago. LA is doing well and New York has been phenomenal. Las Vegas will continue to do really great," stated Trump.
