What is Going on with Callback News?

IF YOU'VE SEEN Callback News, you've seen some dramatic changes in the design, form, and content of the paper. Our newest publication, CB Magazine (Callback Entertainment News) has been launched. Along with the usual auditions in every publication and many of your favorite articles and columnists, you'll now see new writers, new columns, and new sections of the paper. in the months to come you are going to see a lot more; including sections on modeling, acting, photography, film, art, music, restaurants, retail, etc., etc.

So with the launch of CB Magazine why are we still publishing the old format of Callback News? Well, we still have a lot of commitments to advertisers and subscribers that we are going to honor, and it is a simple matter of integrity and honesty. We are going to do what it takes to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Here's the plan.

CB Magazine is our new publication. In comparison to anything that we have done before, these issues will go far beyond the usual scope of the paper. There are going to be more interviews, profiles, and entertainment news than ever before; resource information from some of the top working professionals in the field will be featured, auditions, auditions, auditions; gossip (of course); and sections on every aspect of art, culture, and entertainment in our greater community. This publication is going to come out on a monthly basis.

Between CB Magazine publications, our regular trade paper, Callback Entertainment News, will be published and include all of the regular material that you've come to expect and enjoy. We will continue to publish this supplement for the next 3–6 months before funneling all of the information to both our website and our magazine.

Here's why.

As you may have noticed, CB Magazine is FREE!! It is available in dozens of outlets, and with just the first issue, our distribution jumped from 5,000 to 25,000 readers; and as more distribution points become secured, our numbers will continue to soar. This increased number of readers serves everyone. Our advertisers benefit greatly from the increased exposure, and production companies can rest assured that between both our publications and our website, their audition ads will be seen by more people than anywhere else available.

Subscription prices will remain unchanged for now—the cost of mailing these issues is very expensive, but it will certainly be worth it to have this magazine delivered to your door.

Access to our website is going to be changing as well. The details will be forthcoming, but rest assured that it will change everything as far as access to audition websites go… and by the way, if you haven't been logging on to www.Callbacknews.com, you've missed out on a lot of auditions and job opportunities. We have a lot of companies that list exclusively with our publication and website. You need to see what you have been missing.

Callback News is moving forward, and we're moving quickly. We just got the office next door, and we'll be breaking through the wall July 1st. We've been here for more than 18 years—longer than anyone else. We are, and we continue to be, the best resource for auditions and information in Las Vegas. Binding the entertainment community together is what we do.
