REAL ESTATE DIVISION Administrator Gail Anderson today announced her appointment of Christopher Ault Jr., 39, as deputy administrator effective July 2.
The Nevada Real Estate Division oversees, licenses and regulates all real estate agents and appraisers; certifies home inspectors and community association managers; provides information on timeshare, subdivided land, campground memberships, seller property condition disclosure and other consumer protection related to real estate. The agency also houses the Office of the Ombudsman for Common Interest Communities which provides education and assistance to homeowner association boards, property managers and home/unit owners on fair and equitable operations and also assists in mediation and negotiation of disputes involving planned residential community associations and members.
Ault, a Reno resident, held a Nevada real estate license for 6 years. He is the former director for Commercial Business Development and has over 15 years of experience in corporate management, commercial and residential lending and business development.
Ault holds a B.A. in speech communication with a minor in business from the University of Nevada, Reno.
His accomplishments include Mortgage Broker News magazine's 1999 National Rookie of the Year; Nevada Mortgage Bankers Association's 1999 Rookie of the Year; and First Horizon Home Loan Corporation's National Silver Award. He is a current member of Western Industrial Nevada and EDAWN.
"Christopher Ault is a highly-respected professional with years of leadership excellence. I am relying on him to bring some fresh ideas on ways the state does business which will benefit the agency and the industries we serve," Anderson said.
Ault will be based in the agency's Carson City office. His salary will be $78,446.
