NEVADA CANCER INSTITUTE (NVCI) has been selected as the Good Sam Club of Nevada's official state charity.

"NEVADA CANCER INSTITUTE was chosen by our committee because of its strong presence in the state of Nevada," said Jan Zumwalt, state director of the Good Sam Club of Nevada. "We were convinced that our charitable funds should be used to better health care in Nevada and to directly help those patients affected by cancer, a disease that has touched everyone's life in some way. We are proud to be associated with NVCI and to be doing our part in the fight against cancer."

The Good Sam Club of Nevada is dedicated to promoting recreational vehicle safety as an active participant in community service opportunities. The nonprofit organization's 15 chapters come together twice a year for rallies to raise funds for their selected charity. Hundreds of families will join statewide to take part in entertainment, seminars and fundraisers directly benefiting NVCI.

"We applaud the effort by the Good Sam Club of Nevada, and we thank their organization for helping us to continue to make great strides in cancer care and research," said Heather Murren, NVCI chief executive officer and cofounder.
