FORMER LIGHT GROUP impresario Sean Christie has affixed the name Blush to his new Wynn Las Vegas venue. The ‘ultra-club,’ and not that’s not an official term, will be born out of the remains of LURE Ultra Lounge. Christie further announced an August 31st opening for the venue, the same night that pop diva Britney Spears has signed on to open PURE Management Group’s newest offering, LAX at the Luxor. Australian bigwig James Packer submitted plans to Clark County officials last week for his upcoming, north Strip hotel casino property which would include the city’s, and the country’s, tallest tower; 400 feet higher than Chicago’s Sears Tower, the current record holder. It’s currently unclear whether FAA officials will ok the 142-story tower within such proximity to the airport.

This past Saturday, Steiner’s Pub invited locals, tourists and motorcyclists to its charity concert and bike rally in support of Child Haven and The Salvation Army. Sponsored by Las Vegas Harley-Davidson, Steiner’s Pub hosted an outdoor concert in its parking lot.

Flamingo Las Vegas has announced that it will extend the successful live show, Toni Braxton: Revealed, through February 16, 2008. Toni Braxton: Revealed is a full-scale musical production that draws upon Ms. Braxton's experience as an accomplished musician, singer and Broadway performer, complete with her incredible band, amazing costumes and talented dancers.

More restaurant development rumors are on the menu this week, whispering about Nobu Matsuhisa’s Hard Rock Hotel eatery, Nobu. A source from within property indicates that Morgans Hotel Group has green-lit an expansion of sorts; taking over the space currently held by an exhibit homage to all things Motown as well as an additional adjacent exhibit space. The plan we hear; knock down the walls, open the place up and install a proper front bar for restaurant guests and walk-up business. Makes a lot of sense to us…
