INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED AND reclusive artist LE ROY NEIMAN will make a rare public appearance at the PALMS HOTEL AND CASINO'S PEARL CONCERT THEATRE in LAS VEGAS on SEPTEMBER 29TH when he accepts the honor of the second "LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD" presented by the "INTERNATIONAL FINE ART AWARDS (ARTV)," it was announced today [16 August 2007] by AUDREY ROBERTS, creator and executive producer of "ARTV."

LeRoy Neiman is a New York painter—now well into his eighties—who currently produces about six different serigraph subjects a year. Much of his work has been done for Playboy Magazine, for which he still illustrates monthly. Some of his subjects include sailing, cuisine, golf, boxing, horses, celebrities, famous locations, and America at play. Neiman works in oil, enamel, watercolor, pencil drawings, pastels, serigraphy, and some lithographs and etching. In addition to his fame as a sports artist, Neiman has created many works from his experiences on safari, including a series of animal portraits that are some of his most sought-after pieces.

In 2007, LeRoy Neiman was presented with the Sport Artist of the Year Award from the United States Sports Academy. He is listed in Art Collector's Almanac, Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World. He can now add the 2007 "ARTV Lifetime Achievement Award" to his long list of honors. "I have been collecting, buying, selling, and living with Mr. Neiman's art for the past 30 years," says Audrey Roberts, "and LeRoy Neiman is the finest living American impressionist there is. He is an icon." LeRoy Neiman follows Anthony Quinn, the first "ARTV Lifetime Achievement Award" recipient who won posthumously for his body of artistic work.

The "ARTV" awards ceremony will be taped for television in HDTV for future broadcast. "The Pearl Concert Theatre is a beautiful new state-of-the-art venue to stage an exciting, all-original, one time only production like "ARTV," Ms. Roberts says. "Our goal is to create a three-dimensional show for TV and a cultural experience for the audience during the live event. The Pearl gives us the capability to produce a hybrid of art, technology and performance theatre to spotlight these fine artists like never before." The 2007 "ARTV" program will present fine artists from around the world and honors the Top 10 categories of oils, acrylics, watercolor, muralists, sculpture, mixed media, drawing, new movement/media, and public art installation.
