"The Adventurers"

HAVING A PROBLEM meeting great people? Not so if you belong to a group called "The Adventurers" in Las Vegas. www.theadventurersLV.com The group does exciting things, from sky diving, cliff hanging, canoeing, rock climbing, scuba diving, hiking and camping to BBQs, dinners and happy hours. Just saying that makes me tired.

Jeff Kessler started The Adventurers in 1998 and it has grown to over 60 members. They all have one thing in common and that is to get out and live life and have daring and thrilling experiences with spectacular events that quite often quickens the pulse. That is what April Kulpcavage is doing as a member. She joined in February just to meet friends and at one of the outings she met Doug and they have been inseparable now for the past two months. See, when you are not looking it happens. It is not a singles group but Jeff said 12 couples have met and married so I guess this is better than a singles group. The Adventurers has 2 age groups, 20+ and 50+ with over 15 activities a month that are requested by the members.

For a calendar of events go to www.myspace.com/theadventurersLV. I liked the picture of hanging out in dark caves with friends. Now that looked exciting but I would have a fear of flying bats in the caves attacking me on my head. I guess I watch too many movies. April said she loved the wine tasting event which took place in the woods. After a short hike they spread out blankets and had their wine tasting party. That sounds like fun but I'm sure they had to be careful not to get lost in the woods or fall on the trail after drinking all that wine.

Jeff is going to have a party on Friday, August 17th at 7:30 p.m. at Blondes inside the Miracle Mile Shops in Planet Hollywood. There will be free appetizers and the first drink is free and 2-for-1 drinks after that. Then at 10:15 p.m. the party goes to the V Theater to see the show "Mesmerized" starring Marc Savand and this also is free. All you have to do is RSVP to www.theadventurersLV.com I saw "Mesmerized" a few months ago and was fascinated with Marc and his ability to hypnotize a group of people all at the same time on the stage. It was entertaining and funny and Marc is a true professional in his field. Take this opportunity to go to this free event and meet Jeff Kessler and his great group of Adventurers. After partying with them you may very well decide to join his group and have the time of your life and do things that you thought you would never do. Be outrageous, Be an Adventurer.

David Born, a Robin Williams impersonator updated us on his activities. He was in "The Next Best Thing" and he made it to the semi finals and he was pleased to have gotten that far. I personally think he is terrific and very funny. He looks and sounds like Robin Williams and has all the gestures and he is so believable that when he did meet the real thing, Robin didn't know what to make of him. After David told him he was a professional actor and a SAG member, then Robin was okay with him.

I met David Born at the Impersonators Convention at the Imperial Palace. In the photo on stage, he is last on the right with other Impersonators during their performance. The show they put on was better than some of the Las Vegas Strip shows. Great entertainment. David will be back in Las Vegas soon and he promised to tape a live show at our studio and I am looking forward to that. www.robinwilliamsimpersonator.com
