BODIES THE EXHIBITION invites children and their mentors from local non-profit organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, to enjoy the Exhibition from 11:00 a.m.4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15. Big brothers and sisters along with their little brothers and sisters, often referred to as Bigs and Littles, will enjoy interactive activities in the exhibition lobby plus a guided tour through the Exhibition as they explore together the over 275 specimens found inside. Located in the final room of the Exhibition, Bigs and Littles will have the opportunity to touch actual human body specimens at the touch booth.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has served the Las Vegas Valley for over 30 years helping children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that result in better school performance, improved social interactions and overall more positive outcomes for our entire community.
Studies show that matched Little Brothers and Little Sisters are:
- 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
- 52% less likely to skip school
- More likely to get along with their families and peers
