I never have to keep track of my standings because The Tout seems to enjoy any opportunity to throw those nasty old numbers my way – besides math is hard! My Steelers disappointed me on my three pick and though it makes for a 67% win; I like it way better when I do pick the winning three.

Now THAT’s nice, I’m now teamed up with ever-handsome Casey. He was right, it WAS time for the Bills. And I am so happy that the Saints won. Oh, but the Giants really stomped the 49ers. Oh my!

Ah, the Patriots and the Colts...now it’s getting interesting! I’m happy that my Packers had a week off to rest. Brett will need all his resources ready to beat the Broncos on Monday night. But since the Chargers beat the Broncos (when they were at home no less!) I’m going with the Packers.

For the first time in about 40 years, this week's NFL games are mostly irrelevant to me. I'm all about the World Series and the amazing, Cinderella team fo the century, the Colorado Rockies!!!
Lest you think I jumpeth upon yon bandwagon, I was living in Denver when the Rockies were born and have been a true fan ever since! Ok, I digressed.

Mona, you mystical beauty, it's still all about the Patriots. OK, so maybe they're not exhibiting the greatest of sportsmanship at all times. They were still running up the score when a sure victory was at hand with less than a minute to go against Dallas. Oh well, as previously stated, I am a 49ers fan and anytime Dallas is dealt a blow I rejoice. Yes, I know the Niners are drop dead below average, but I'm still into that "true fan" thing.

Beware the Ides of Jacksonville. Where did those cats come from? Yes, Indy put a major hurt on 'em, buy they're still in the hunt, so to speak.

The Broncos grew up on national TV Sunday night by barely beating the Steelers, and I'm going out on another limb and saying they'll do the same to the Packers. Gotta' love Favre, but that bubble has already started bursting. Which leaves the Chargers. Given the fires, and the displacement of their fans and some of their players, these easy going boys finally have something to play for. They may not get beat again, until of course, they meet the Patriots.

I just nipped both Mystic and Casey this past week, going 11-3 SU. However the three of us were more than “just nipped” by The Mouth, who, once again went 3-0…….. Thankfully The Mouth will spare us the indignity of a sports handicapping lesson this week, while he and his “better half” vacation in Hawaii. He’ll return to these pages next week and hopefully pick-up where he left off…………….. because he and I are now a team, as per by request – Mystic and order – the boss!

As a team, Casey and Mystic (can anyone think of a team name for them? I like the name “The Cockles”…………) are 80-64 56% SU for the season. The Mouth and I are 71-36 66%. Can anyone think of a team name for us? Keep in mind this is a family magazine…………………….. I like the name “2-bits 4-bits”
