IN A CHILD’S mind their parents are their heroes and they are number one and the most important person in their lives. Suddenly they become famous and they become everyone’s hero. They have action figures made in their image, they have their own comic book and talk of a movie for them. Oh what a thrill that is. All this is possible and this did happen to one lucky lady, a single mother of three, Nell Wilson Superhero “Fat Momma.” www.fatmomma.tv

Thanks to Stan Lee, the legendary comic book creator of Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four and X-Men. Stan had the brilliant idea for a reality show, Who Wants To Be A Superhero, where contestants would create their own character and have weekly challenges. They would be tested for their integrity, compassion, and courage and staying true to themselves. The grand prize would be Immortality. Stan Lee picked 11 lucky contestants and they got to create their costumes and state their motto.

Nell Wilson became Fat Momma with the help of her children. They heard of the auditions and came up with an idea of a superhero to protect them from bullies and to accept themselves for who they are. Fat Momma said she was not nervous because she never messed up and she stayed true to herself. I found her to be very loving, sweet and caring with a great personality. She was a natural because she is a real life mother. I met Nell at the Meet & Greet at Hooters in Las Vegas. She was there with Feedback and other entertainers—signing autographs. Her children were there and I could see the gleam in her son Daniel’s eyes as he looked at his hero Fat Momma. Fat Momma was surrounded by donuts and she shared her story of how she became a superhero and of her second place win. Feedback won first place and Immortality www.forcefeedback.tv. She was happy he won when she saw the magical look on his face when he was announced the winner. Not only did Feedback walk away with his character immortalized in a new comic book created by Stan Lee himself, so did Fat Momma. There were two winners. They are now traveling around the country making personal appearances.

Angelique Morgan
Rocky and Brenda Whitehead put together the first Celebrity Meet and Greet at Hooters Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Many guest stars were present and my good friend Angelique Morgan was there. She is an exotic dancer working at the Spearmint Rhino; she is also an actress and trainer. She is scheduled to appear in two movies in Las Vegas. The first movie Stripper and second movie Beauty Project. I met with the movie producer and screenwriter Gregory Wayne Jarrett. He was so kind and answered all my questions and has a great personality and I can’t wait to talk to him again. Stripper is the life story of a dancer and it is an in-depth look at the Gentlemen’s Club Industry. It will be the most controversial movie in 2008. We here in Las Vegas will be able to relate to the story because we have lots of Gentlemen’s Clubs here in town. Gregory is originally from Ohio and now lives in California. He has worked with Madonna, Prince, U2, Lionel Richie and many other stars. Gregory did 6 months of research before he wrote the screenplay. I can’t wait to see it. I will have more coverage on the filming of Stripper and I will write about the movie in more detail when it starts shooting. I love being on movie sets and meeting the stars. I get to see the personal side of them. I am always surprised at their size. Some are smaller than they appear in the movies, but one thing I can say is that they always do look better in person. www.myspace.com/angeliquemorganwww.celebritymeetandgreet.com

The Innocence and Wisdom of Youth
Michelle Owens, 20-years-old and my granddaughter wrote the following bit of wisdom. She is a gifted writer and has been writing since she was a young girl in kindergarten. I have always loved her stories and am always encouraging her to write a novel. I am always touched and moved by her writing and her wisdom at such a young age. ChChChanges

My life up until this very moment has led me to the conclusion that everything changes. By everything, I do mean everything of course. My state of mind has evolved, my opinion of the world and of my life, my actual life, the people in my life, the way I treat the people in my life, the way the people in my life treat me, etc. Every time my mind frame morphs into another I always think that surely this must be the truth, this is what life’s come to be…but everything changes. Given enough time, everything you thought you once knew, won’t be anymore. So how seriously, then, should I take this moment and my beliefs? And if I don’t take them seriously now, then should I really ever?

With all the change flowing out and about, here and there, under and above…there are a few certainties, at least I’d like to hope so. For one thing, the best way to handle any situation is with an open mind and a loving, forgiving heart. For another, no matter how bad you think your situation is, there is always someone with a worse one, and even if they don’t have a worse situation they are still going through at least one thing in their life they feel is quite unsettling or difficult so you should always take that into consideration in all your interactions. But most of all, in any given horrible situation you must remember all the other ones which you thought were quite horrific and remember how you came out of that one, whole and for the most or at least some part, quite okay. “Okay” generally meaning, “still alive.” And for most of us, that should be quite enough, or at least enough to keep fighting another day.
