Stars were in the fiesta spirit at The Grand Opening Celebration of Diablo’s Cantina at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino, The Light Group’s hot new restaurant concept. Michelle Rodriguez, sentenced this week to 180 days in a Los Angeles jail for violating her probation, had a last hoorah in Vegas before heading off to New Zealand on Monday to shoot James Cameron’s Avatar, a $190+ million super-epic 3D hybrid sci-fi film. Rodriguez walked the red carpet and posed for photos with the venue’s sexy tequila shot girls and she-devil body-painted vixens. In true Vegas fashion, Michelle tested her luck with a spin on the "Wheel of Sin," a novelty game that determines the drink specials of the hour. While inside, Rodriguez, accompanied by model Aleksandra Rastovic and other friends enjoyed chips and salsa and bottles of Evian water. Seated on a patio table, overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, Michelle’s party enjoyed entertainment by The Dan Band from the hit movie Old School entertained guests performing familiar hits such “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” and “Milk Shake.” Other guests included Kathy Griffin who arrived hand-in-hand with boyfriend Steve Woznika, Entourage’s Kevin Connolly, Martha MacIsaac, and Lukas Haas, among others. Later that evening Griffin along with her new boyfriend also hit up Fix Restaurant & Bar after seeing a show. Earlier in the weekend, Superbad actress Martha MacIsaac celebrated her 23rd birthday with friends and family at Jet Nightclub.
Saturday Night at MOON Nightclub, Javon Walker of the Denver Broncos held his birthday bash with his closest friends. Downstairs, Swedish Fashion Designer J Lindeberg dined at NOVE Italiano while Jesper Parnevik was spotted dining at N9NE.
Friday night, TAO Las Vegas saw rock band Nickelback partying in the club kickstarting the Vegas weekend. The band led by front man Chad Kroeger, started off at dinner at the TAO Asian Bistro choosing such favorites as the Kobe Beef and the Spicy Tuna roll. On Saturday night, TAO
brought cast members from the cult hit television show “Jericho” to the Asian Bistro. The group seemed to be having a great time enjoying the food and the atmosphere at one of the most popular dining experiences in Las Vegas. Sunday afternoon at TAO Beach actress Michelle Rodriguez made an appearance at the venue’s popular "Sunset Sessions" party, taking a VIP area with a few friends to enjoy the scene. Later that night, TAO held a charity fundraiser for the VegasTennisCom’s Marty Hennessy Jr. Tennis Foundation that mentors underprivileged youths. The charity’s special guest was none other than crooner Tony Bennett. The event not only raised money for the charity but was also a celebration of the Emmy Awards Bennett has one this year. The Versace-Las Vegas sponsored event brought out various philanthropists who all came together to raise money for this great cause including some of the cast members of the movie “Bella” such as actress Ali Landry, director Alejandro Monteverde, actor Eduardo Verastegui, singer Jack Jones with wife Diana, singer Vinnie Falcone, comedian Rita Rudner, and singer Clint Holmes.
Club-goers can always count on PURE Nightclub to have some of the hottest DJs in the industry spinning pulse-quickening sets on any given night. Tuesday night, mixtape master and co-founder of Desert Storm Records, DJ Clue, showed off his genius skills on the turntables for a full house of fortunate partiers. Also present last night was comedian and Las Vegas show-headliner Carrot Top who enjoyed a VIP cabana. Wednesday night was magical at LAX Nightclub as illusionist David Copperfield came by to experience the hip vibe while enjoying the incredible mix spun by DJ Vice. Prior to visiting LAX, Copperfield dined in style at Social House. On Thursday, professional golfer Fred Couples and poker pro Jamie Gold were spotted at LAX. Friday night, PURE was shining bright as Jericho star Skeet Ulrich and the rest of the cast from the hit CBS series partied with friends.
