I am amazed that
the Patriots almost lost! But WOW, what a game! This season, I find
myself looking at some of the team match-ups and thinking to myself
“that’ll be a boring game,” or “geez, it’s probably not even worth
watching.” The Eagles really impressed me last week with the
constant pressure they put on the Patriots… I think that will show
this week when they win over the Seahawks.
Then there was
the lowest scoring football game I’ve ever watched on Monday night.
I predict some
upsets this week. However, I still think certain teams will maintain
their reputation, i.e. the Dolphins will still lose and The Patriots
will still win.

So... The New England Patriots are mere
mortals. Yes, but don't count them out of
the run for perfection. As for me, I can't
pick winners to save my (life). That being
said, Mona and I might just form a PAC
(pigskin action committee) and take this
contest by storm.
I like Dallas this week, but I'd sure like
to see the Packers win. Indy should cover,
Denver usually gets the best of the Raiders
and yes, I'm taking the Niners again.
Hey, better to be lucky (Thank you God) than
good. The Steelers have been lucky and the
Bengals haven't been good, but look for
Cincinnati to surprise the Pittsburghs this
week.
And I wouldn't be surprised if the Tout
calls me out for the Niners win... Now if I
could just get lucky at the sports book! |

Put
even more distance between “The Mystic One” and yours truly,
going 10-3 SU to Mystic’s 7-6, this past Sunday.
Casey
took the week off (I guess to see where he “went right”)
after finally going over the .500 mark…… and I guess
"the Mouth" really had a stomach ache, maybe he caught a few
flies with that tongue of his that made the poor baby a bit
wheezy or maybe it was the thought of me catching and
passing him on a percentage basics…… HE BETTER LOOK OVER HIS
SHOULDER…… At any rate they’re both back this week.
Mystic, maybe you should try reading tea leaves or Brett
Frave’s palm……………..

Vikes/Lions Do you ever get the feeling "On the Road Again"
is not the Lions favorite song. The ship that was once 6-2 is
listing badly at 6-5 and sinking fast.. Feels like same old same
old... Free money.
Broncos/Raiders More free money. Shanahan has always done his best
to beat up on the Raiders as he despises the Raider organization and
all it stands for. Throw in the fact that this Raider edition is "dreck"
and line up at the collection window.
Jags/Colts
Here you go oh touted one. An upset special in your honor. I've
heard enough of your whining about me picking all favorites so back
out on the limb I go albeit with much trepidation. I give
Jacksonville a legitimate shot though. Garrard is back and healthy
and running game is in top form (unlike first meeting). The addition
of Grady Jackson as a run stopper should also make a difference. Who
knows? Stranger things have happened.
