Whether it is family, friends, the two of you or big group of people getting together to celebrate Thanksgiving,  there are certainly a number of places you can go to eat for a memorable Thanksgiving meal without all of the effort of cooking and cleaning up afterwards. 

 

If you live in Summerlin or the northwest, Ceres Restaurant at JW Marriott in Summerlin offers a number of choices on Thanksgiving Day. This year’s annual Thanksgiving brunch buffet features traditional Turkey, Peppercorn Crusted Prime Rib of Beef and Maple Pit Ham at the carving station and an omelet station with made-to-order eggs. The main buffet offers an assortment of salads, fruits, baked goods and pastries, imported and domestic cheeses and a vast array of accompanying hot items, not to mention delicious desserts. There is a children’s buffet, filled with kid-friendly foods such as Crunchy Chicken Fingers, assorted Pizzas, Mac-n-Cheese, French Fries and Mini Pancakes.

 

Brunch is served from 10:30 am to 3 pm Thanksgiving Day at a cost of $42 for adults, $18.50 for children under 12 and complimentary for children under 5 years old. Reservations are required by calling Ceres at 702-869-7381.

 

In addition to the holiday brunch buffet, a Thanksgiving menu selection will be served in Ceres during the evening hours. It’s a “build your own holiday dinner” menu with choices in starters, main course selections, along with desserts. This special menu has varying prices ranging from $45 and up for a three-course dinner. Thanksgiving dinner is served from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm and reservations can be made by calling 702-869-7381.

 


 

For a Mexican meal on Thanksgiving, there is Diego at the MGM Grand with Executive Chef Noel Santos. He has prepared a Thanksgiving Menu including Roasted Root Vegetable Salad of Baby Carrots, Turnips, Rutabega Tossed in a Roasted Tomato & Cascabel Chile Dressing and Field Watercress, Young Turkey Breast and Poblano Spinach Mousse, Stuffed Leg Roasted in Oaxacan Red Mole, Grilled Green Beans, with a Corn & Bacon Pudding.  The cost is $48 per person and the phone number is 702-891-3200.

 


 

If you are in the mood for Italian for Thanksgiving, Fiamma at the MGM Grand with Executive Chef Carlos Buscaglia is offering Roasted Butternut Squash ‘Crema’ Crisp Sage Chanterelles Mushrooms, Parmegiano risotto, turkey confit, grilled Portobello mushrooms with Roasted Free Range Turkey, macerated Brandy Cranberries, mascarpone soft polenta, and Marcona Almond stuffing.  The phone number is 702-891-7600.

 


 

Celebrity chef Tom Colicchio of Craftsteak at the MGM Grand is a James Beard award-winning chef and is emphatic when it comes to creating menu items that appeal to all lovers of fine food. For Thanksgiving, Craftsteak is offering for starters, Roasted Pumpkin Soup with Black Trumpets, White Truffle and Chive; Baby Mixed Lettuces with Shallot Vinaigrette and Sautéed Nantucket Bay Scallops with Celery Root, Smoked Pancetta and Celery Leaves. For the entrée, it is a Roasted and Braised Free Range Turkey with Sausage Stuffing, Natural Jus, Gravy, Cranberry Relish, Sweet Potato Puree with Fried Sage, Sautéed Spinach, Wild Mushrooms, Braised Red Cabbage with Apple Julienne, and for dessert there will be Seasonal Fresh and Roasted Fruits, Pumpkin Pie, Pastries and Home Made Ice Cream offered.   The cost is $90 per person and to make reservations, call 702- 891-7318.

 


 

One of the newest restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood, Strip House, is offering an innovative menu this holiday season.   Chef John Schenk has created three fall favorites.  For starters, wild mushroom bisque with crisp pancetta, sage and black truffle butter will be offered.   Chef Schenk’s take on roast fresh turkey comes with chestnut bread stuffing, butternut squash puree, kale and collard greens and balsamic-cranberry sauce with confit giblet gravy.  Strip House will also feature a pumpkin pie with Tahitian vanilla ice cream for dessert.

A favorite on both the west side and southeast Las Vegas, Arizona Charlie’s Boulder and Arizona Charlie’s Decatur will offer an array of food specials on Thanksgiving Day.
 
“We will feature special Thanksgiving menus in all of our restaurants at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder. From elegant to casual, there will be something for every taste and budget,” said Werner Meier, director of food and beverage for Arizona Charlie’s Boulder.
 
The Thanksgiving menu at The Sourdough Café at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder starts with a choice of corn chowder or house salad. Entrees are a choice of roasted breast of turkey, served with cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, candied yams or mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce; or roasted pork loin, served with cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes or candied yams, natural gravy, and green beans. Dessert is a choice of pumpkin or apple pie. The Thanksgiving menu will be served from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $8.99 per person and coupons are not valid on Thanksgiving.
 
The Thanksgiving menu at The Yukon Grille at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder starts with either corn chowder, or Yukon mixed green salad with a choice of dressing. Entrees are a choice of oven roasted turkey served with giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes or candied yams, and fresh baby squash; or baked Atlantic cod topped with crab meat stuffing and brandy wine sauce, served with saffron rice and fresh asparagus. Dessert is a choice of pumpkin or apple pie. The cost is $22.99 per person. The Thanksgiving menu will be served from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and coupons are not valid on Thanksgiving. Reservations are recommended by calling 702-951-5800.
 
The Thanksgiving menu at the Wild West Buffet at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder starts with a full salad bar. Carving stations will feature prime rib and roast turkey will all the trimmings. Entrees include stuffed pork loin with baked apples, roasted leg of lamb with mint jelly, seafood Newburg and linguine, broiled flank steak with Port wine sauce, Southern style fried chicken, baked Atlantic cod almandine, chicken Oscar. The entrees will be accompanied by mashed potatoes and natural gravy, corn on the cob, green beans, apple walnut dressing, candied yams, and wild rice blend with vegetables. Some of the many dessert choices include, pumpkin pie, apple pie, German chocolate cake, cheese cake, Black Forest cake, ice cream and much more. The cost is $12.49 per person, $11.49 with an A.C.E. Rewards card (up to four people). Coupons are not valid on Thanksgiving.

Some of the many dessert choices include, pumpkin pie, apple pie, German chocolate cake, cheese cake, Black Forest cake, ice cream and much more. The Thanksgiving menu will be served from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $10.99 per person, $9.99 with an A.C.E. Rewards card. No restrictions apply.

In south side of Las Vegas, Silverton Casino Lodge invites guests to have a Thanksgiving Day feast at Sundance Grill.

 

Sundance Grill’s Thanksgiving Day menu includes both traditional holiday classics along with a few modern twists. Those craving a traditional meal can enjoy a succulent roasted turkey served with giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables and orange-cranberry sauce. For starters, guests can gobble down lobster and butternut squash bisque with cardamom croutons. Also offered are Belgium endive and Waldorf salad.

 

Sundance Grill offers old dessert favorites with new twists this Thanksgiving Day with a delicious pumpkin Brule and tantalizing maple panacotta with spiced fruits and candied pecans.
