I had both the pleasure and the honor of spending the Thanksgiving holiday with Senator John McCain. We weren't in my home state of South Carolina nor were we with Cindy and their family in Arizona.
We spent Thanksgiving with the men and women of our armed forces who are selflessly serving in Iraq. This wasn't my first trip with John nor will it be my last.
I have seen his leadership first-hand for years now and I want him to be my president.
There
are many reasons to elect a person president, but none more important than
their ability to be commander in chief on the day they are sworn in to
office. John McCain is that person.
Like me, you are a strong supporter of John's and have been here for him during the course of a tough campaign year.
But, today, we have to commit to do more. Both the holiday season and the primary season are here. The voters of Iowa will hold their caucuses in 37 days. New Hampshire and South Carolina will quickly follow with their primaries.
Time is of the essence and campaign donations are too. John is spending a majority of this week campaigning in South Carolina. I will be traveling with him and have personally committed to John that we will raise $380,000 for get-out-the vote activities by Friday, November 30th when he leaves the state.
John can win this race but not without our continued help and support. National polls continue to show that he is the only conservative candidate that can beat Hillary Clinton.
I am asking you to please make a donation of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or even $2,300 to John's campaign today. Your immediate donation will go a long way in helping us reach our goal of raising $380,000 by November 30th.
From traveling with John I know I can speak for him in saying how grateful he is for your support. We cannot let him down.
I want to close this email by reinforcing my belief in John McCain's abilities to be our next President. We are facing challenges both at home and around the globe that we have never faced before. John McCain has the experience needed to face those challenges.
Through the years, John has taken countless political stands for the good of the country and against his own political interest. This is what our country desperately needs - leadership focused on the common good.
Please join me today in supporting his efforts by making a donation...
Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you today.
Sincerely,
