Hanukkah, the “Festival of Lights,” starts on the 25th day of
the Jewish calendar month of Kislev and lasts for eight days and
nights. In 2007 Hanukkah begins at sundown on December 4 and
ends at nightfall on Wednesday December 12. With blessings,
games, and festive foods,
Hanukkah celebrates the triumphs—both
religious and military—of ancient Jewish heroes. Hanukkah
is a relatively minor holiday in the Jewish year. In the United

New Pet Show Airs on LV1
|
CBS
sister station LV1, Channel 19, is adding some
zip to its Saturday afternoon lineup with a real
value show, 'Pets in Vegas'. A
Wallace Media Group production, 'Pets in
Vegas' is a half-hour trip around town that
reports on the growing pet population and the
industry that supports it. 'Pets in Vegas'
will provide its viewers with the latest in pet
related information from a staff of talented
reporters who make the show entertaining as well
as educational. Tara Lee, the host, introduces
them throughout the show from the location of
that weeks feature story. Celebrity pets,
special pets, and pets of the week, are other
highlights you can expect. The controversy over
this city's high kill rate at local shelters is
well noted, and yet little has changed. 'Pets
in Vegas' will focus on this issue, and it
surely is a big step in the right direction. 'Pets
in Vegas' premieres on Saturday, Dec.1st @
1pm on Cox Channel 19 (LV1). |
