Geez, the 49ers and the Dolphins won?! Talk about messing up MY ticket last week. Not that the rest of it was all that great…but at least all of my three picks were accurate.

The Giants are winning, my ever-handsome Casey because they have heart. They really want to win. It’s just like my Brett, this’ll probably be his last season and he’ll be able to transition is career on a high note. He’s broken a boatload of records this year, it’s likely that he’ll help his team get to the Big Game, and “This is why I’m hot!” Wrangler jeans (see U-tube video)!

In 1997, I purchased a picture of Bugs Bunny in the number 4 Packer Jersey from the Warner Brothers Store (used to be in the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace). It’s autographed by Brett Favre and it came with a picture of Brett autographing one of the 125 that he signed. I never thought I would be someone who would collect sports memorabilia, but those autographed things just seem to drop into my lap.

I also have an autographed picture of Tom Jones, but that’s a story for another time…

Has there ever been such a so-so year in the NFL before?  The networks are clamoring for the Patriots and the bettors are seeking shelter.  The only sure thing is uncertainty.  (Bitter, party of one!)

There are a few teams starting to surge, namely Philly, Jacksonville and (God save us) the Buffalo Bills.  And what's with the Browns?  They give me the blues.

Anyway, I think Mona and I definitely need to team up because my picks need a woman's touch.

Merry Christmas!!

P.S. I'm picking against the Niners hoping they'll win.

How embarrassing; there were 3 weeks remaining in the NFL. I stated in last Fridays  Football Forecast, that there 2 weeks remaining, ‘shows you how little I know…….

Now there 2 weeks left in season #1 followed by “season #2” the playoffs…..

The race in the VCO Football Challenge is for 4th place (or last, depending on how you look at it)

‘Giving the recent slide of Mystic and the ascension of Casey, the Mystic One is going to have to find a magic elixir to keep the Charming One “at bay” Casey edged ahead of Mystic, 55.5% to 55.42%.  We’re all on the edge of our seats, waiting to see how this race turns out….   Remember Casey  she’s only a girl…

There is no way I can snag 1st place from the Mouth, when he keeps picking the same teams as I…….

Never the less, here is my SU picks for this week, including Saturday and excluding Thursday.

Saturday’s Game

Cowboys over the Panthers

Sunday’s Challenge Games

Browns over the Bengals
Packers over the Bears
Colts over the Texans
Chiefs over the Lions
Patriots over the Dolphins
Bills over the Giants
Jaguars over the Raiders
Saints  over the Eagles
Vikings over the Redskins
Cardinals over the Falcons
Seahawks over the Ravens
Titans over the Jets
Buccaneers over the 49ers

Monday Night’s Games

Chargers over the Broncos

That’s it……

My star picks only went 3-3 last week but my 3 top picks won for a plus 9 stars…….

For the season I stand at 41-33-4 + 281/2 stars 55%

Most over paid public handicappers have a “game of the year” a game they give (sell) with some outrageous guarantee..  Well this under paid handicapper  Gives you a “game of the year, “The Tout” version……..  Jacksonville –12 ½ pts over the Raiders

Here are my star picks

These picks are rated from 1 to 5's with a point spread

+ Jaguars    - 12½ vs. Raiders
½ Ravens  + 10 @ Seahawks
Dolphins  + 9 @ Patriots
Broncos +9  @ Chargers
Saints  - 3 @ Eagles

Happy Holidays to all, and remember, buy Xmas gifts first, then the wager on the Star picks...

Always bet cautiously, and we'll catch you next week!

Topping the past couple of weeks performance will not be easy as my selections have certainly cast a shadow of doubt on who the true "mystic" is but I'll give it my best shot. First I need to rant a bit. Now I know Brian Billick won a Superbowl several years ago (in spite of himself), but forget about Isaiah this is the guy who has to go. Fourth down and goal from the 1/2 yard line vs. the 0-13 Dolphins and 3 down with seconds to go and this "pussy" kicks the field goal. Are you kidding me? Then, wonder of wonders" he loses in overtime. Sorry buddy, you're gone... hasta la vista, adios, don't let the door hit you in the keister, goodbye.

Browns/Bengals         Gotta love these Brownies. Tons of heart as opposed to Cinci with tons of excuses; not to mention criminals. I say hitch up Jamal Lewis and let him run these Bengal into the ground. They're just biding their time 'til they can hit the golf course anyway.

Pats/Dolphins            Just kidding!! I'll leave this one for Mona.

Titans/Jets               Vince and company need to win out and get some luck elsewhere to make the playoffs. This is not much of a test, especially with the Jets spent from last week's difficult and emotional tussle with the Patriots. This has slaughter plastered all over it.

Texans/Colts    This week's limb climber. I'm counting on Colts coach Dungy to remain true to form and rest his key guys when the outcome is meaningless. Said strategy combined with the myriad of Indy injuries give overachieving Houstonians a legitimate shot.

Now go get the cash you need for your merry, merry Christmas!!!
