It’s a secret… The
Secret… a book by author, Rhonda Byrne…
How to transform
your life
For those who were
not around during the great era of the “positive thinking seminars” …
lectures presented by Zig Zigler, Wayne W. Dyer, Thomas Harris, Ted
Schwarz, Robert J. Ringer and Peter McWilliams, the great football
coach, Vince Lombardi, the Beverly Hills lecture series by the Church of
Scientology in the 70’s and recently, the magician/motivator, Billy
Riggs, and many others, perhaps you should invest $23.95 or $13.17 at
Amazon.com for the book and join the millions who are learning The
Secret of enjoying a better, more successful and much happier life.
Basically The
Secret is the Law of Attraction, transforming a person’s life for
wealth, health and happiness using the power of thought. If you think
about wealth, you will become wealthy… If you think about debt, you will
have more debt… or so agrees Oprah Winfrey … one of the most wealthiest
women in the world.
Think positive
thoughts and you will attract wealth, health and love. Think negative
thoughts and you will attract poverty, illness and loneliness. To be
happy, think positive thoughts….and the book teaches you how to focus on
the positive when negativity comes creeping in.
Did I buy the
book? I already have the masters in my library. One of the secrets of
having a winning football team was Vince Lombardi’s method of having the
team sit together before the game and visualize the plays and the
technique to win the game. By feeling and believing, by visualizing the
game, winning was already theirs….while the opposing team was warming up
on the field.
Let the Universe
know what you want and your wishes will be granted like magic….so The
Secret tells you. The book instructs the reader to make a list of
what you really want as if they are already happening for you.
Visualize the experience.
Interesting… but I
caution that the list should be realistic. You cannot visualize yourself
winning the super bowl if you have never learned how to play ball or you
are not on the team… nor can you be a rock star if you cannot sing…
well; that is not a good example. The point I am making is, contrary to
The Secret and the other master’s books crowding the shelves, you
must visualize what you can do and see yourself doing it. Make a
list and let everyone around you know what you want … Then do whatever
you have to do to make it happen. Make your dreams a reality.
In my work I see
many very talented people; some more talented than others. I really try
to focus on what I appreciate in all of them and often wonder if they
visualize themselves to be the best they can be and what they see for
themselves in their futures.
How many strive
for perfection? How many spend their time rehearsing for disaster? How
many are so negative that they cast a gloom over every one they meet?
How many sit and wait for the phone to ring; the call that will get them
work?
The Secret
is a small investment to jump-start a career that is in a slump as well
as a guide to improve relationships… and possibly a love life. If you
don’t have a library of the masters, begin with this book…. The
Secret may just make the world a better place to be in for you and
for the millions who are following the gospel of the book.
