Paris Hilton Gets More Exposure
Paris
Hilton is no shy lady. Yes, I did say ‘lady,’ regardless of what she has
prompted the
press
to print. Hilton posed nude for the Rich Water Foundation. The foundation,
located in Berlin, was set up by Paris and the inventor of the Rich Prosecco
drink. Hilton is now the face of the new can of sparkling wine called Rich
Prosecco. The young socialite said her entrepreneurship started in her family.
Perhaps it did, but they are in the hospitality field. Paris Hilton, on the
other hand, has taken it in another direction, although not everyone would agree
with her choices.
Incidentally, one of Paris’ friends was overheard saying that she would be attending the NATPE, National Association of Television Programming Executives, convention in Las Vegas regarding some television opportunities.
Jamie Foxx’s Surprise Birthday Celebration
Jamie Foxx celebrated his birthday in jet-set style in the Jet nightclub at the Mirage Resort on the Las Vegas Strip recently. Foxx was bombarded with a lot of autograph seekers. To their surprise, they couldn’t get near him thanks to the security of the Jet nightclub.
Foxx
begins shooting the film “The Soloist” soon, along with actors Rachael Harris
and
Robert
Downey Jr.
Foxx recently recorded “She Goes All the Way” as surprise guest performer on Rascal Flatts latest CD “Still Feels Good.” One of the great successes of Foxx’s albums is having guest artists, such as Mary J. Blige, Ludacris and Twista, with a production support from Timbaland and Baby Face.
As Foxx puts it, “Ray Charles told me, ‘If you feel it, then you know it’s right.’”
Foxx is well acquainted with the Las Vegas community having once owned a home on Sunrise Mountain; but since selling it, he likes to use Las Vegas as his playground.
Mario Lopez
Still Hot in the Hot Spot
Mario Lopez, who was adored on “Dancing With the Stars” and other television programs, hosted Steven Lockwood’s contest, “Boobs or Bust 2: Go Big or Go Home.”
The hot and juicy contest held at Jet nightclub had girls running after Lopez. Fortunately, Lopez had plenty of security.
Fifty ladies showed up to try to win the $5,000 cash prize, which was to be used for a breast augmentation. Sara Olson, the winner, who was the only one allowed to talk to Lopez, said she would probably get the breast surgery.
Palazzo Resort Adds to Rose Bowl
The soft
opening of the Palazzo Resort on the 28th of Dec. will give locals and visitors
a taste for what is to come for its grand opening on Jan 17-19. The resort also
has its own
float, “Viva Italia,” in the Rose Bowl Parade. One part of the float will
highlight the Palazzo, with its signature architectural style with awnings,
while the other part will feature the Palazzo’s adjoining resort, The Venetian.
Fresh flowers will be shaped to resemble the Palazzo’s structure and the
landmark Campanile Tower and Doge’s Palace.
The measurement of the float is 28-feet high, 18-feet wide and 62-feet in length. Over 30,000 roses will be featured through its gardens and floral displays.
The Palazzo float will also serve as the stage for the opening ceremonies for the parade, and it will be the lead float to start down the 5.5 mile route in Pasadena, Calif.
Golden Nugget Sets Trend for Downtown Las Vegas
The
Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino has just opened its newest addition, just west of
its
current
location. Included in the expansion is a large multipurpose events center, an
expanded gaming floor, new Sushi restaurant and an exciting nightlife venue. The
events facility has state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, individually
controlled for sound, electricity and climate controls.
Gold Diggers, the new nightclub, has a large dance floor bordered by bartenders serving their latest libations. It also opens up to a 180-degree oversized balcony overlooking the Fremont Street Experience. The total renovation cost is over $170 million. Tilman Fertitta, the new property owner and CEO of Landry’s restaurants, purchased the historic hotel-casino recently and knows what it takes to set the trend in downtown Las Vegas.
