Albertsons on Boulder Is Making me Older Going to the grocery store Has become more of a chore Than ever before. Used to run out the door With my coupons & list, but not anymore It's a project just to prepare for This once a week chore. Gotta try hard Remembering to take the club card "Don't leave home without it" To get the sale you must submit. Must pack my glasses for reading Some labels that might be misleading. If I don't check the amount of salt It's me who'll be at fault Is it good carbs or bad Does it matter or just a fad Dieticians get salaries To count the calories. I like to brag I don't use a paper or a plastic bag I reuse my own made out of burlap That I got years ago at The Gap. Then I drive home in my Hummer Kidding.. kidding...I'm not a bummer! I am, however, a caring commuter I maneuver home in my senior scooter. Not! Truth finally be told I've been cajoled I drive a hybrid car It actually can go pretty far. |
