There Was A Couple From Nantucket

There was a couple from Nantucket
Who went to Vegas on a Junket.
Arriving at McCarran
Was Aaron and Sharon.
Walking toward the baggage area
They saw a crowd near hysteria
What unbelievable luck
A fast food restaurant by Wolfgang Puck.
The line was long, the din was loud
A very hungry crowd.
They thought how absolutely keen
For an airport to have a slot machine.
They hired a cabbie named Miguel
To drive them to their hotel
On that short trip.
They were awed by the lights on the strip
Surrounded by a decor rather romanesque
They checked in at the front desk
Once alone in their room

He asked for her hand, to become bride and groom

She could not disguise
Her unabashed surprise
Next day was to be their wedding
You'll never believe this ending
Arriving at the chapel, they walked in
And seated up front were their parents and other kin
It was a pre-arranged plan
By this wonderful man.
This story is true and sincere
And concludes right here.
