The city of Las Vegas Planning & Development Department will be conducting a customer training session about updates and revisions to the city’s zoning codes and master and special area plans on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 5pm. The session will be held in the Development Services Center, located at 731 S. Fourth St., in conference room 2B upstairs. 

These quarterly sessions are designed to assist customers in staying current and to allow for questions about changes to be answered.

The April 22 session will cover the following ordinances:

·         Ordinance 5959 - modifies existing billboard regulations

·         Ordinance 5977 - allows short-term vacation rentals in certain residential districts as a conditional use

·         Ordinance 5974 - adopts an updated Union Park Design Standards manual

·         Ordinance 5975 - authorizes the City Council to grant distance separation waivers for taverns within the Parkway Center District

The remaining 2008 sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, and Tuesday, Oct. 28.
