Up and Coming Women Players Get First Hand Advice

It's Saturday night and women from around the country have gathered in Vegas for the WPT Ladies Championship held at Bellagio... but not before getting the golden ticket to join Linda Johnson and some of her poker pro friends at her place!

About fifty women were guests at Linda's home last Saturday night, where she cooked a lasagna feast for everyone. Her beautiful home, filled with years of memorabilia is like a walk through a history of poker museum. Amongst the women were members of the online poker clubs, Lady Poker Sharks and Poker Chix. Additionally, Linda invited some of her accomplished poker professional women friends.

After dinner, everyone gathered around to listen to this panel of amazing women. JJ Liu, Shirley Williams, Jan Fisher, Linda Johnson, Kathy Liebert, Kelli Griggs and Clonie Gowan all took the evening to impart their pearls of wisdom as well as a few stories of their experiences both on and off the felt in poker. 

"Getting to sit here and ask questions and get advice from  these women right before entering a major tournament is priceless!" Said Joanne of Las Vegas.  That seemed to be the sentiment of the women in attendance overall.
