Probably the best charity event I have been to in years! I have done many and have never seen one run so smoothly and joyfully. You would think that with all the stars that there would be the headache of egos running around. All I can say was how completely wonderful it was. We all were there to support 2 friends. First of all, Norm Kaye. We all set ourselves aside to honor a great entertainer in need. Second of all, Nelson Sardelli. Calling out for his entertainer friends who dropped what they were doing to make this happen. And it happened…beautifully.
Backstage we arrived one by one. Everyone early and ready to do their 3 to 5 minutes. There were several who hadn’t seen anyone in a long time and reminisced. There were friends to be made from the new local talent that were just as incredible. 53 professional entertainers and musicians and an incredible stage crew giving their time, money and hearts to help a fellow entertainer in need.
Thank you my friends for including me. It meant so much to me to be a part of the giving hearts of Las Vegas. Thank you Nelson.
