There
are over 110 Bonefish Grill restaurants across the country, with one located
in Henderson and are we fortunate! Both appetizing and visually appealing,
this is more than a seafood place. Bonefish Grill is not considered a chain
but a family restaurant following in the tradition of Outback Restaurants,
Roy’s, and Flemings Prime Rib Steakhouse.
As the “Fresh Fish Experts,” Bonefish Grill specializes in
market fresh fish prepared to order over an oak-burning grill, which gives
the fish a tasty flavor. A tantalizing array of sauces and original
toppings, ranging from fresh and light to rich and flavorful, are offered to
enhance the flavor of the fish.
Bonefish Grill is known for its fresh ingredients and creative use of flavorful modern culinary touches such as hears of palm, pine nuts, artichokes, goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes. There are also offerings like choice steaks and pork tenderloin, as well as pasta and chicken dishes.
Fueled by their mutual passion for fish and adventure, Tim Curci and Chris Parker, the founders, set out to create a unique dining experience that would take the mystery out of fish for people who didn't eat it very often, and yet provide further mystery for the truly adventurous. On January 15, 2000 in St. Petersburg, Florida, the first Bonefish Grill was opened and it was a huge success.
In
their search to find fish from the waters of the world, the founders hunted
down fish purveyors with the same commitment to quality as theirs. Today,
the founders' ritual of receiving, inspecting and hand cutting fish daily is
still practiced by the partners at Bonefish Grill.
The food is unbelievable. The fish is flown in daily, including North Atlantic Salmon, ahi tuna, swordfish, trout, halibut, butter fish and other delectable sea foods. Appetizers included Coconut Shrimp (light and crispy), Crab Cakes (spicy and flaky), and entrees included Pistachio Parmesan Rainbow Trout (with NO bones), Salmon, Halibut, Butterfish and dessert included Key Lime pie.
There is an extensive wine list and a martini bar. The décor
is simple with brass and metal
accents instead of passé fishnets and seashells. The wall treatments are
actually salmon color with a copper trim, the booths are big and luxurious
and community tables are placed in the bar for single patrons to join others
in conversation. The interior’s sleek design features beautiful golden
hardwood and hand-blown glass lamps. An attractive array of
three-dimensional art, ranging from large-scale metal sculptures of
mangroves and fishing scenes to a large mystical fish rubbing enhance the
ambience felt throughout the restaurant.
The service is unbelievable with Bonefish Grill’s motto of “guest indulgence and the art of language.” As the managing partner, Tobias Fox, said, “it is ladies and gentlemen and good evening to all of our customers.” This is one dining experience you don’t want to miss.
