I was honored to attend the EnormousNorm-A-Thon this past Sunday afternoon with Kid Cary for Norman Kaye. Norman, a legendary entertainer, entrepreneur, Nevada Poet Laureate, humanitarian, and founding member of the Mary Kaye Trio was in need of assistance with his mounting health care costs. Many of his friends came together to assist Norman in this time of need.
My husband Frank and I met Norman in 1975 when Frank coached Richard, Norman’s son’s Pop Warner Football team. At that time Norman was "THE" real estate guru in Vegas and ran the extremely successful real estate company Norman Kaye Realty. It was wonderful seeing Norman in grand spirits! One thing that has not changed since I’ve known him, is his warm and giving spirit. He is loved by many, which was apparent by the huge showing of both star performers and attendees.
Huge Kudos to the many individuals that assisted in putting on this ENORMOUSLY successful event, with every dollar raised going directly to Norman, also, kudos to The Orleans who was kind enough to furnish the showroom and the many other necessities needed to put on such a large event.
Reported by Norm Clarke:
That Enormous
Norm-a-thon benefit for Mary Kaye Trio co-founder Norman Kaye
raised almost $20,000, thanks to the 34 entertainers who put on a
memorable show for 700 at The Orleans. Kaye, the last surviving member
of the legendary lounge group, recently suffered a stroke and faces some
serious financial issues. The Orleans picked up the tab for more than
$10,000 in costs...
Take care and be well Norman, we all love you!
