Shot in Nevada

Hold on, don’t get the wrong idea. I don’t mean shot, as in the gunslingin’ cowboys of ol’ Nevada. Nor am I referring to the mean streets of new Nevada. The “shot” I’m talking about was done with a camera. Yup, that’s what we want, anything that was shot in Nevada.

The Nevada Film Office will be having its first film showcase this summer and we are inviting all Nevada filmmakers to enter. Our state has 14 notable film festivals which we support tremendously and do not wish to compete with. We simply want to celebrate films made in Nevada, by Nevadans.

Showcase

Coming Summer 2008

The showcase is open to all Nevada residents. Any length, any genre will be accepted, as long as it was filmed in Nevada, and does not feature pornographic content. Enter as many films as you wish with an entry fee of $10 per film.

Because this is a Nevada celebration, we will hold screenings in Reno, Elko, and Las Vegas, NV to gain more exposure for our talented local filmmakers. Exact locations, dates and honors to be determined. More information will be released soon. If you have any questions please call 1-800-NEV-FILM.
