Whitney Recreation Center

Whitney will be hosting a month long Black History Month trivia contest beginning, February 1. Youth ages 6-17 are invited to answer the daily posted trivia question and to participate in the activity of the day including fun facts, essays, and movies. At the end of the month, the top participants will join their families for a pizza party.

A Salute to the Sounds of Soul

Winchester Cultural Center will be screening two biographical films showcasing the remarkable lives and fabulous careers of Ray Charles and Billy Holiday in celebration of Black History Month. Please call 455-7340 for more information.

Paradise Recreation Center

Adults 50+ •  $10

Celebrate culture with art. An African-themed ceramic piece, paint and instruction will be provided by 'All Fired Up' to decorate. Pieces will be returned with a nice, glossy finish after the firing.

Parkdale Senior Program will be holding a Black History Celebration. A mouth watering menu of southern food will be served while enjoying the music of Dele Adefemi.

Cost $6 children under 17, ages 4 and under free, adults $8

A Soulful Night Out
Bring the entire family out to celebrate Black History and enjoy a Southern BBQ and a movie.  Movie to be revealed day of showing register at any Clark County Community Center or pay at the door.
