Palazzo Celebrates its opening with Exquisite Cuisine Offered

 
     
 
     
 

Launching with a spectacular music, fireworks and light show and culminating with a concert headlined by Diana Ross, The Palazzo Las Vegas—the new $1.9 billion luxury resort from Las Vegas Sands Corporation celebrated its grand opening the weekend of January 17, 2008 with a star-studded series of special events. Celebrities, VIP guests and media from around the country joined Las Vegas Sands executives for the historic occasion as the first new resort on the Las Vegas strip in nearly three years officially opened.

 

“This was a celebration not only of the opening of the most luxurious new resort on the Strip, but, when combined with The Venetian and the Sands Expo Center, the culmination of a vision to create the most compelling destination in all of Las Vegas,” said Rob Goldstein, president and chief operating officer of The Palazzo. “The excitement, energy and positive response throughout the weekend provided a fitting opening for what is the new standard for luxury and sophistication in Las Vegas.”

 

This includes some of the most incredible restaurants either opened now or open soon in Palazzo, which cements Las Vegas’ reputation as one of the dining capitals of the world.  Some of the restaurants open now include Mario Batali’s Carnevino, Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro, Jade Dim Sum Noodles, Grand Lux Cafe, Espressamente illy, Double Helix Wine Bar and Jay Z’s 40/40 Club. Some other remarkable restaurants in Palazzo include culinary celebrities Wolfgang Puck, Emeril Lagasse, Charlie Trotter, and other celebrity chefs who add to the prestige of dining in Las Vegas.  Over 30 restaurants are expected to open with eight James Beard award-winning chefs.

40/40 Club by Jay-Z is called an All-American sports bar and lounge, which includes an upscale “bar food” menu including Buttermilk Coconut Gambas, Fried shrimp with green chili basil sauce, Latin Spiced Shrimp Cocktail served on ice with fresh horseradish & avocado sauce and 40/40 Club Burgers made of Black angus burgers on home-baked buns with shaved purple onions, lettuce, tomato and special sauce.

 

 

 

 

Partners Chef Mario Batali and winemaker Joe Bastianich opened their first steakhouse, Carnevino in Palazzo. The name combines two elements of high-quality American meat, and an international wine list. The restaurant's grand, dramatic spaces includes 16 ft. ceilings, Italian marble and wood touches designed in the scope and the style of a classic Italian villa.  The menu features fresh and modern Italian cuisine with traditional steakhouse classics. The menu includes hand cut Steak Tartare Piemonte Style, Pappardelle with "Porcini Trifolati," and classic house-aged beef steaks, rubbed with a blend of sea salt, black pepper and fresh rosemary to achieve a slightly charred crust. In addition, there are veal, pork and lamb dishes plus daily specials of poultry and seafood and twelve delicious vegetable side dishes.

Master Chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck is bringing his critically acclaimed, award-winning restaurant CUT to Las Vegas. The Beverly Hills, super-chic steakhouse will open at The Palazzo in February 2008. CUT will mark the sixth fine dining restaurant in Las Vegas from the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, recognized as a leader in revolutionizing the dining landscape of the city.

 

CUT will present a contemporary twist on the classic steakhouse. From USDA Prime Nebraska corn-fed, 35-day dry-aged steaks to true Japanese Wagyu Beef, CUT will cater to true steak connoisseurs. Canyon Ranch Café is a part of Canyon Ranch, a spa dedicated to the well-being of body and mind. The café will feature healthy fare.

 

Dal Toro and Lamborghini Las Vegas bring to the Palazzo the finest Italian cuisine surrounded by the greatest sports cars in the world. 

 

Dos Caminos is authentic Mexican cuisine with Chef Scott Linquist, author of the new cookbook, “Mod Mex.” The smooth dips, banana chips, specialty drinks only highlight the exquisite entrees which are not your typical “Mexican Food.”

 

Double Helix Bar features fine wines from around the world. A unique preservation system facilitates the offering of highly sought-after wines not usually poured by the glass. With a wide variety of champagnes and flights of wine, Double Helix is poised to become a trendy Las Vegas spot.

Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro offers a new dining experience in Las Vegas, with Executive Chef Eric Bauer merging steak with other unique culinary aspects, including an iced seafood bar, a cheese and charcuterie bar with more than 30 farmhouse and artisinal cheeses from around the world along with handmade salamis and meats, complemented by a more than 60 wine-by-the-glass menu and more than 400 varieties of French and California wine.

Restaurant Charlie with Chef Charlie Trotter will be largely focused on seafood focused while honoring the hallmarks of Chef Trotter's style – seasonally driven, organic, culinary preparations which honor the subtle nuances of each ingredient as a component to the overall dish.

 

Sushi Samba combines Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cuisine. Blending influences of Peru, Brazil and Asia, sushi creations will also be offered.

 

Table 10 by Emeril Lagasse is the new American eatery by Chef Emeril Lagasse. Named after an iconic table at Lagasse’s flagship restaurant Emeril’s in New Orleans, Table 10 expresses the creativity and energy shared during the restaurant’s formative years, along with the spirit of hospitality that is universal to all restaurateurs. A diversity of flavors, the menu reflects the close relationships Emeril has cultivated with farmers, fishermen and ranchers – all of which shaped his unmistakable food philosophy.

 

Woo is Pan-Asian cuisine offering its blend of Chinese dishes, enhanced by Japanese and California influences. The Woo family wants their name to become synonymous with this unique cuisine.
