Last Night...at The Palms

Comedian/TV Host Howie Mandel was at MOON Nightclub last night with a group of friends. They entered the nightclub at midnight and sat at their table enjoying the Go-Go Dancers, but the retractable roof caught their attention as it opened up revealing the Las Vegas sky at 12:30am. Mandel and his friends were visibly amused. Mandel sipped cranberry juice all night and was extremely nice to all the fans who wanted to shake his hand. The rest of the table enjoyed bottles of Ketel One, PJ Brut and Captain Morgan.

NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon was having dinner and drinks at N9NE Steakhouse last night with a group of 5 male friends, while Kansas City Chiefs Running Back Larry Johnson was romancing a beautiful lady in another part of the dining room.

Cirque Sends Their "LOVE" to this years Grammy's...

Cast members from The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage in Las Vegas will perform live at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, February 10th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The twenty-five dancers and acrobats will be performing to a specially edited “A Day in the Life” from the LOVE album. The Grammy Awards will air on CBS at 5 pm PST. The Beatles LOVE album, released by Apple Corps Ltd/Capital Records, received two nominations in the categories of Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or other Visual Medium and Best Surround Sound Album. Sir George Martin, The Beatles legendary producer, and his son, Giles Martin, worked with the entire archive of Beatles recordings to create this Grammy nominated soundscape for LOVE.

LOVE, a Cirque du Soleil creation and co-production with Apple Corps Ltd., celebrates the musical legacy of The Beatles and is presented exclusively at The Mirage in Las Vegas. This joint artistic venture marks the first time that The Beatles company, Apple Corps Ltd., has agreed to a major theatrical partnership. The project was born out of a personal friendship and mutual admiration between the late George Harrison and Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté.

The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil opened to rave reviews on June 30, 2006 and has played to over 1.5 million audience members. This number does include the rumored 200 tix per night that MGM purchases directly from Cirque for their players and the $35 tix that they offer their employees on slow nights.

Superbowl with Tera

During the weekend of the big game, tens of thousands of people flood Sin City to enjoy the festivities, the food, the gambling and of course, the great parties.

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will play host to the hottest Super Sunday party of the year with the help of Velvet Revolver and adult entertainment superstar Tera Patrick. Body English, the Hard Rock’s world class Nightclub is the place to be this Sunday after the big game.

The weekly Sunday School party featuring beautiful women sporting their favorite schoolgirl uniforms will be spiced up on February 3^rd. Special guest host Velvet Revolver will kick off the festivities at 11 pm . They play at the Joint, also in the Hard Rock and will come to the party as soon as they leave the stage.

Helping to spice things up will be adult entertainment’s biggest star, Tera Patrick.

“No matter who wins the big game, we are going to have a blast,” said an excited Tera. “Sunday School at Body English is always a hot party, but I’m going to make sure to take to a new level. We have hot girls in schoolgirl uniforms, Velvet Revolver and I intend to make sure that everyone leaves Body English has had the time of their lives.”

Tera Patrick, Velvet Revolver , hot chicks, great music, Super Bowl and plenty of booze. It just doesn’t get any better than that.

When will Monte Carlo Re-Open?

Fridays blaze on The Monte Carlo’s exterior foam-based sculpting is what caused employees and guests in over 2,400 occupied rooms to be evacuated. The fire was contained to the exterior facade, while other damage is water or firefighting-related. It is reported that there is a building permit for work on the roof, to install a window washing system, but no one knows if that work was underway. The guests say that they heard a fire alarm going off inside the Monte Carlo but ignored it. It wasn't until they got a knock on their door from hotel maids who ran from door to door telling guests to get out. Some guests turned on the televison when they finally realized they needed to get out. MGM Mirage Inc. says it is still not clear when the 3,000-room casino-hotel will reopen for business. Clark County spokesman Dan Kulin says fire officials are still waiting for the company to remove or secure the burned exterior facade along the roof to prevent debris from falling down. The fire began around 11 a.m Friday. "High rise fires are never easy to fight and as you can with it being outside, our firefighters actually had to hang out the windows, try to cut the fire off, directing our fire streams at an angle so to make contact with the fire so it wasn't an easy fire at all," said Fire Chief Steve Smith on the local news. "The largest hotels in the world are along this resort corridor. To say that you practice a fire, you don't really practice a fire except for when it happens, you have the training, you understand what you have to do to contain it and that is what we have done today," said Chief Smith.
