Hoop Time

The “Pos 5” went a dismal 3-6 ATS and 4-5 SU this past week. The only victories coming from the two tenacious Bulldogs, Butler and Drake, and from U Mass. That brought the seasons totals to 69-30 SU and 52-30 ATS.

It’s time to drop a team from the “Positive ROI 5.” That team will be the Virginia Cavs. We will more than likely stick with Butler, Drake, U Mass, New Mexico and Virginia’s replacement, the Davison Wildcats of the Southern league. The Wildcats are 14-6 and atop their conference (South) at 11-0. Davison is led by 6’ sophomore guard Stephen Curry who averages almost 24 pts. per game on the year. Curry is in fact, number 5 in NCAA Division 1 in that department. Davidson also has the national leader in assists, J. Richards who dishes more than 8 per game. Together Curry and Richards are one of the top guard duos in the country along with Mike Green and A.J. Graves of Butler the “little team that could” another member of the “Pos 5”.

The “5” have ten games this coming week (all with a spread) including New Mexico visiting UNLV tomorrow (Saturday) night.

Looking for a better week… we need some serious $$$ to buy a dozen roses a box of chocolates for our favorite Valentine the following week…..
