Freddie Bell was truly one of the great entertainers that popped up in Las Vegas in 1955. Known as Freddie Bell and The Bellboys, Freddie enjoyed his success with Hound Dog which helped his entertainment career in his hometown of Philadelphia. He was also in the movie Rock Around the Clock which starred Bill Haley. Through the movie, Giddy Up Ding Dong, a song Freddie wrote, climbed the charts to number one in Europe.

Freddie Bell was a gentleman, a kind person and a guy that would make you forget about your troubles. Even The Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin loved Freddie. So Freddie Bell and his friends’ music will live on, as well as his comedy. Freddie passed on from complications of cancer Sunday, February 10th at 1130 pm. The funeral for our beloved friend was Sunday at Palm Mortuary beginning at Noon with services that followed at 2:00 pm.
