Marleen Marino, A Kiss, Al Pacino

I'm here to immerse

Myself in verse

None of which I rehearse
It just comes gushing out of my brain
Showing no signs of restrain
It's how I entertain
The rhymes I can't restrain
Sometimes witty, sometimes mundane
Difficult to abstain
Don't think I'm vain
I'm hope to be on the menu
In VCO's venue
A dancer has to dance
A lover needs romance
A singer needs to sing
A crown needs a king
And I need to rhyme
In my free time
That ain't no crime
It's rather sublime
So here I go again
Used to be with a quill or pen
But I've made a swap
Now I type on my laptop
Okay, so here we go
Ready for the Poetry Show
In this February which is a leap
When love runs extra deep
I would be amiss
If I didn't discuss the kiss
A kiss is just a kiss, or is it?
Something by which affection we transmit

Let's not dismiss the rock band named KISS

Austin Texas' FM radio station KISS
You can make a love connection
By giving the KISS, a chocolate confection
Then there's the ultimate rejection
The 'kiss off' aimed in your direction
If a ball slightly touches another ball in pool
It's said they kissed, that's the rule.
And now it's over, my endless rambling
Gotta get over to Sam's for some serious gambling
The last time I was in a casino
I saw Marleen Marino
Wearing a black Valentino
Talking to Al Pacino
Of course that isn't true
Political license taken to amuse
