Families are invited to bring their beloved four-legged friends to a
free celebration for a day filled with fun and free licks. This
inter-generational event will host smallest and largest dog, best
dog trick and owner/dog look alike contests. Have your family
picture taken — with your dog, of course! Children can participate
in fingerprinting by the deputy city marshals, face painting, games,
tour a fire truck and receive fire hats, and meet KVBC-TV 3
Meteorologist John Fredericks and his dog LJ. Starbucks will offer
refreshments and the Animal Foundation will offer pets for adoption
and licensing information. All dogs must be leashed for the duration
of the event except in the fenced dog park areas. All dogs should
wear a current rabies tag and be up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Event officials reserve the right to refuse aggressive animals. No
dogs “in heat.”
