Well, the Packers did both Mystic and my star
picks in Sunday....... The Mystic One had a good
run, hitting 4 teamers in both playoff weeks one
and two, but her idol Brett, in what appeared to
be a burst of "play ground" play, on his part,
tanked....... Taking nothing
away from the Giant's pass rush and secondary,
Farr on a few occasions, flung the ball as far
as he could, no matter which color jersey was in
the vicinity of where he thought the ball would
land........ He also threw the ball off his back
foot a couple of times and more than once tried
a weak impression of Eddie LeBaron.... but worst
of all, tried throwing into triple
coverage........ So much for the team playing
the best of any of the four teams left going
into Sundays play............. Green Bay, even
without Farve's reversion back to junior high
play, were out played by the Super Bowl bound
Giants.
Come February 3rd, it’s the undefeated New
Englanders vs. the upstart New Yorkers.....
As advertised, the Patriots won SU, but did not
cover.......... Keep that in mind, while trying
to figure out weather to lay or take the 12 or
13 points. The Giants played the Pats' to within
3 points in the regular season and had to win
3
games in a row, on the road to
reach the big game...... Playing in Glendale
Arizona is another road game for them
(technically.)
New England
wants very much, to keep its date with
destiny 19
and 0
There are many more reasons to play on or
against either side. I (along with the Mouth,
Mystic and Casey) will go over them in the
next/last
installment of the Football Forecast. However,
if you like the favorite, play them now -12 or
so. If you like the dog, wait, because the
number should go up....... (People tend to bet
the favorite, as game day draws near, in big
games in all sports..........)
My top star pick (San Diego) beat the spread and
depending on how you look at it, we (there’s
that mouse again...) either went +5 stars or +6
1/2 stars. If you laid the 6 1/2, +6 1/2 *s, or
if you laid the 7, +5 *s. Hopefully, you could
not find either number and played only the
Chargers............
Next Friday all the boys and girls (girl) will
be back with our
