Well,
it’s the beginning of the year again. This is the time when we all decide, with
much enthusiasm, to kick all kinds of vices and commit to our goals for 2008.
The top two
resolutions
every year are always the same… #1 To get out of debt and #2 Get back into
shape. Let’s focus for a moment on the latter.
When
we decide to make this resolution there are typically several patterns that we
follow. First - we diet. Second - we join a gym or buy an endless supply of
workout CDs and equipment to use at home. At first, we are really good about
sticking to a stringent diet and working out vigorously. This
works great for a while, then, most of the time, we fall short. We start to
take the easy way out, we come home starving and grab the easiest thing to eat,
which unfortunately, is most likely not healthy for us, then in a sugar crash we
find it easier to grab a seat and the remote, than to grab our tennis shoes and
workout clothes. How many times have we all gone through this yo-yo effect? We
diet and lose
weight,
then for some unknown reason our body’s just stop cooperating with us and the
weight begins to come back, and in some cases we gain back more than we lost to
begin with. The whole purpose of a diet is to deprive our body of nutrition so
we lose weight. Unfortunately, deprivation is an unhealthy state, after all the
first three letters of the word
diet are D-I-E. Well, I want to lose weight and
be healthier, but to die to do it seems a little contradictory, don’t you
think? When we diet we put our systems in a state of starvation. We all know
that living on Cheetos and soda isn’t very healthy, but it also isn’t
healthy to starve our bodies of healthy foods and the nutrition we need. If your
nutritional intake is very little and then you work out to exhaustion, your body
will turn on you. You will create an environment in your system called
starvation mode; where your body holds onto absolutely everything it has and
everything you give it. Your energy level will drop and it will become very
hard to maintain this without the constant feeling that you could eat your arm.
This is a truly unhealthy state.
We now have scientific evidence that the toxins in our environment are having a profound effect not only on our health; but also on our weight gain. We all know when we look around, no one seems to be getting any smaller, even the kids are at the highest obesity levels ever in our nation.
So
what are toxins and where do they come from? We come into contact with toxins
in almost every aspect of our lives. Our foods are covered in pesticides,
chemicals and insecticides, injected with hormones and antibiotics. Our
furniture, carpets and clothes are coated in flame retardant. Our air is full
of toxins from anything that burns. Our water
shows levels
of jet fuel and asbestos, and it is bottled in plastic that leak pcb’s into it
as it sits on the store shelves. Our processed foods are chemically laden and
most of the time we cannot even read the words listed on the ingredient list.
Our fast foods, in most cases are nothing more than a quick sugar rush that give
us no nutrition whatsoever. Our sweeteners are chemically processed, they are
not sugar, nor are they made from sugar. But since they don’t have calories we
think they are so much better for us. Then we look around and we say “why is
everyone so overweight and unhealthy?
Well, when we take a closer look at the world we live in, how could we expect anything different? We are supposed to sleep soundly every night. We are supposed to have energy and mental clarity when we wake up, without hitting the snooze button repeatedly. We are supposed to feel energized without a huge amount of coffee, energy drinks and caffeine. Our bodies should crave healthy foods and be PH balanced all the time. We are supposed to live a long, healthy life without having to submit ourselves to the sickness system that we now live in.
We can change this cycle we are now in. We can change our lifestyle and still enjoy ourselves. There is an answer. There is something out there that can make a difference in our world. Cleansing can help in this area.
It is possible to feed your body the 90 building blocks that it needs to maintain an abundant, healthy environment, and also lose weight and have energy at the same time. This can be done without dieting.
When
we cleanse our cells of the impurities that are being stored there, and then we
feed those cells good nutrition, our bodies are able to function more normally.
They are able to function without relying on the things that we now use to get
us through the day.
With the proper system and helpful coaching you can not only reach your health goals, you can maintain that level of health for life.
