MARCHE' BACCHUS HAS NEW MANAGEMENT

Every now and then we like to give a shout-out to local entrepreneurs. The new -- and rather enthusiastic -- owners of Marche' Bacchus, Jeff and Rhonda Wyatt, took it upon themselves to introduce themselves recently so we figured we'd introduce them as well. The restaurant now Jean-David Groff Daudet from Pamplemousse and previously Drai's, as new Executive Chef. They feature "Jazz Under the Stars" every Wednesday night with Wayne Brady's saxophonist beginning July 16th.  They continue to offer complimentary wine tastings every Saturday from 11:30a m - 1:30 pm featuring at least five or six highly-rated wines. AND, as always at Marche' Bacchus, wine can be consumed while dining for only $10 over retail wine prices -- a 200  to 300 percent savings over other establishments in Las Vegas.

BOOGIE WOOGIE OOGIE

PURE Nightclub took The Strip by storm on Tuesday night as multitalented actor, singer and songwriter Ray J made his mark on the main VIP stage of the club and delivered a sensational surprise performance as the second stint of the club’s 2008 Summer Surprise Series. Shortly after midnight when the anticipation of the packed house was at its highest, Ray J stepped into the spotlight with mic in hand asking the crowd “where are all my sexy ladies at?,” provoking a loud roar of screams and a sea of flashing lights from the dance floor below. The club’s energy went through the roof as Ray J sang a medley of songs including his chart-topping hit “Sexy Can I,” “Wait a Minute” and “One Wish.” Following his performance, Ray J settled into a sleek white VIP bed adjacent to the DJ booth where he kicked back with friends, sipped on Grey Goose cocktails and mingled with many adoring female fans. Computer of the reality show Adventures in Hollyhood was among the audience and took time to visit with Ray J throughout the night. Also catching all the excitement of the evening were Peter Forsberg of the Colorado Avalanche NHL team, NFL linebacker Willie McGinest of the Cleveland Browns and former cornerback for the NFL’s Detroit Lions Kevin Scott.
