And The Rains Came/Hurricane
By: H.L. Wright

And the rains came
God unleashed his power
hour after hour

And the winds blew
The wind and the rain
Linked like a chain

And the raging water
Higher and higher
Still could not put out the fire
It was the second stage

And the people cried
Some faith has been shaken
The spirit crushed
And loved ones were taken

And the officials came
made promises and walked around
Some placed blame
Others getting out of town

The terror set in fast and steady
There was lawlessness, anger and desperation
Clearly government wasn't ready
For the developing situations

In the richest country
In the world
No one thought
These events would unfurl

BEFORE THE RAINS CAME

Then questions began
 Who was at fault
Who was to blame
Because no one was ready
After the winds blew
And the waters rose
And those fires burned
Out of control

WHEN THE RAINS CAME
