Actor
Victoria Rowell, author of “The Women Who Raised Me,” received the African
Literary Award and an NAACP Image award in the debut author category. She is a
New York Times Best-selling author. She also received the Humanitarian award at
the 2008 Roy Wilkins Freedom Fund awards gala at the Biltmore in Los Angeles.
She just completed “Home of the Brave” with 50 Cent and Samuel Jackson. She has held a long-term, co-starring role as Drucilla Winters on award-winning daytime soap “The Young and The Restless.” But her profound love, according to Rowell, is supporting and educating foster children.
Rowell was raised in a foster home most of her life, and she is dedicated to helping other foster children. She uses her own life story and multiple accomplishments to show others they, too, can break past barriers and achieve their most heartfelt dreams.
Book information and Rowell’s blog can be found at www.victoriarowell.com.
