JET Nightclub at The Mirage will give away a pink custom Corvette to the hottest woman in Las Vegas at its upcoming Vegas BlondeShell Awards. This elimination competition takes place over the course of three consecutive Monday nights commencing June 23 with the grand-prize Corvette giveaway happening July 7 at the finale hosted by porn princess, Jana Jordan. Thirty Las Vegas ladies, ages 21-28, will vie for the chance to win the Corvette by mingling with and impressing club-goers.  Each lady will work the VIP tables and dance floor and hand out their Vegas BlondeShell business cards which includes their photo and designated text number.  Then, as all the contestants are on display on stage, patrons vote (ala “American Idol”) by texting in the number of their favorite vixen. The Top 20 finalists will be picked on Monday, June 23, the Top 10 on Monday, June 30, and the Grand Prize winner will be voted in at the competition’s finale, on Monday, July 7.  In between rounds, finalists will be bouncing around Las Vegas’ hottest clubs in their Vegas BlondeShell baby-dolls, and bronze at Bare pool lounge at The Mirage, to promote this extravaganza of hotness.

Socialite PARIS HILTON was turned away from a pet store in Los Angeles at the weekend (14-15Jun08) after employees refused to let her buy a puppy - because she reportedly just wanted the pooch to accompany her in a photoshoot. The hotel heiress was on her way to a photoshoot when she stopped at The Puppy Store on Melrose Avenue to buy a Yorkie. But she was banned from doing so by one of the store workers because they saw it as "an impulse buy". An insider tells the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, "(She) wanted a puppy in the picture with her so it would look cuter." And when she was knocked back, puppy-loving Hilton allegedly went "ballistic". The source adds, "She started screaming, 'I love my puppies! I want my baby!'"

 The musical comedy, HATS! at Harrah’s Las Vegas tips its ‘hat’ farewell and has closed abruptly.  The “fun, fabulous and fifty” cast has performed at Harrah’s Las Vegas since January.

 

MEANWHILE. The Second City, the show that inspired Saturday Night Live and turned improv comedy into a true art, will be leaving Flamingo Las Vegas this  summer after a seven-year run. The Second City’s final performance is scheduled for Aug. 1. This Saturday evening  Pam and Pierre Omidyar celebrated with the Lied Discovery Children's Museum in Las Vegas as it opened its newest exhibit "Torn From Home: My Life as a Refugee ." Pam Omidyar sponsored the exhibit and is one of its creators. The exhibit gives young visitors and others an opportunity to gain a firsthand look into the challenging realities faced by refugee children and their families, and yet experience the personal triumphs of rebuilding their lives in a new land. It showcases six exhibit areas: Home, Losing Home, Registration, Refugee Camp, Medical Clinic and Going Home.

 

BI, BI, GISELLE!! CRISS ANGEL FINDS A NEW GIRLFRIEND! WILL GISELLE?

 

 It would appear that Giselle "I'm Bi! Get Over it!" Diaz is no longer the girlfriend of illusionist Criss Angel. Thevegaseye.com has learned that Angel is now back with a woman named Sandra, who he was spotted with attending the Ted Nugent concert at The House of Blues. They apparently dated for a short time in early '08. 

 

The reunited couple was spotted  backstage being escorted into a meet-and-greet with Mr. Nugent.  Angel introduced Ted and his family to his "girlfriend Sandra". (Mr. Angel appeared to be kind of snooty to anyone who wasn't a celebrity. Does that help his career?.) Angel was also spotted making out with Sandra  last week while exiting his Lamborghini. When asked where Giselle was, a source tells us, Mr. Angel responded he and she were no longer an item. Giselle, meanwhile, continued to consider Mr. Angel as her boyfriend -- at least on her MySpace page. Pictures of Giselle making out with another woman at a local club caused quite a stir when spotted on thevegaseye.com last week.  But on her MySpace page,  (if this version hasn't been phished like the one before it)  Giselle has posted one  main message for  Mr. Angel: "Criss- I love you, no matter what anybody else says about us, remember that!"

MICHAEL JACKSON HOVERS NEAR VEGAS

 

As we at thevegaseye.com told you earlier, Michael Jackson may be next to follow the well-worn trail of pop star footsteps that leads to the Las Vegas strip, where Celine Dion, Elton John and others have taken up residence at various times. Mr. Jackson, who has had a seemingly endless series of financial troubles over the past few years, including a recent threat of foreclosure at his Neverland Ranch in California, is considering a long term Las Vegas engagement as part of a plan to repay a $23 million debt to Colony Capital, the private equity group that recently bought the loan on Neverland, Reuters reported. Colony owns the Las Vegas Hilton, and is a major shareholder in the Station Casinos chain. There is no deal yet and the possible Las Vegas engagement is one of several repayment options Mr. Jackson and Colony are considering. Mr. Jackson, who was acquitted of child molestation charges in 2005, has been reclusive ever since (O.K., before too), living in Ireland, Dubai and Bahrain at various times. He is now reportedly living in Pahrump, Nev., about 60 miles from Las Vegas.

 

Robert Kardashian Jr hits town

 

Reality TV star and brother to the famous Kardashian sisters, Robert Kardashian Jr . made an appearance at Body English inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino two eights ago. Also spotted at the Hard Rock was actor and musician Jared Leto who checked in to the hotel yesterday. He hung out and enjoyed the summer heat at a cabana by the pool and was also seen dining at Pink Taco.
