Exclusive: Hooters peters out.. to new BRAND

In another TheVegasEye.com EXCLUSIVE, Hooters Hotel and Casino is currently under contract with future plans of conversion to a high-end luxury lifestyle property currently under the working name BRAND.  The transaction is not set to close until sometime midsummer.  The news of this has been floating around for sometime now and the parties involved have already started being pursued by major nightclub management companies and International hotel and resort organizations. However, the plan is to own and operate every outlet on property in its entirety.  This will include the restaurants, nightclubs and retail stores.

The Hooters re-development is being led by celebrity designer Dodd Mitchell.  Adapting the existing bones and structure of the building with Mitchell designing everything in the building.  This may be the first organic boutique gaming property on the strip.  Dodd stated boldly,” you will never see anything like this.  I am designing this as if you are coming into my home.” The cabanas at the pool will be separated by waterfall curtains and islands.  The nightclub will be on the rooftop.  TheVegasEye.com has been given these exclusive illustrations of the changes for our readers.

Rehab...better than ever

Rehab reaches a new high.  New leadership and new features coming for 08.  Out with the Old in with the New – it’s obvious that change is happening at The Hard Rock.  With the expansion construction underway, I’ve learned about some exciting staff changes as well.   My sources told me exclusively that nightlife veteran Shannon DuPont will reign over the Rehab ropes beginning this season along with Guy Wilson.  The entire Body English nightlife team will be on hand for Rehab as well.  What started out as Vegas’ first, hottest, most successful pool party has become much more than a weekly Sunday at the pool.  With this season’s announcement of “Rehab The Movie” along with Rehab Beverage it has turned into an enterprise of its own. Hard Rock Vice Pres. Phil Shalala said, “Thanks to the tireless commitment of all the people behind the scenes, we have created a Las Vegas institution on Sundays. We appreciate all the work everyone has put into Rehab to make it such a success.  That said, we are truly excited about the upcoming season with a fresh, powerhouse team.”

In addition to new leadership, look for other new features like 7 additional cabanas, an all new VIP daybed deck and new custom amenities in all cabanas.
