Hoop Time

Somewhat disappointing was the fact, that only 4 of the "Positive ROI 5" went to the "Big Dance" this week.

New Mexico made a 1st round NIT appearance on Wednesday, losing to the Cal. Bears 68-66, but most importantly from a $$ standpoint, they covered the spread as a 4 pt underdog.............

Butler, Drake, Louisville and Davidson will make opening round NCAA appearances today (Friday), after VCO's press time, last night.

Louisville is/was a 12 1/2 pt favorite over Boise St. Drake was/is spotting Western Kentucky 4 pts. and our other Bulldogs, Butler is/was laying 4 pts. against So. Alabama. In what may be the most entertaining "Pos 5" game, Stephan Curry and his Wildcat teammates are/were 1 pt better than Gonzaga......

Ultimately, come April 5th, Drake, Davidson and Louisville or Butler could meet in the "Final Four"............. but lets take it one win and one "cover" at a time.
