Hoop Time
The “Little Team that Could” could not... quite make it to the “Sweet 16” this past week. After winning (and covering) their first game in the NCAA’s, our “Positive ROI 5” Butler Bulldogs succumbed to the “trees” of the University of Tennessee, in overtime.
Still, it was another stellar year for Mike Green, A. J. Graves and rookie coach Brad Stevens as the “Dawgs” improved on last year’s 29 win season, winning 30 this year. Both Green and Graves, one of college ball’s best guard duos the last two years, are pro material. I wish them luck.
Speaking of pro potential… how ‘bout Del Curry’s kid, Davidson’s Stephen Curry, only a second year player must be making “the old man” (a pretty good pro himself, two decades ago) proud while helping, “big time” to lead the Wildcats to a Sweet 16 match up against the Wisconsin Badgers.
For the week (Friday to press time last night) our “Pos 5” went 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS. Two “Pos 5’s” Louisville and if victorious tonight, Davidson, will still remain of course, in the hunt for the national title. The Cards and Wildcats, with two more wins each, will oppose each other in the Final Four with the winner playing for “all the marbles”……
See you with an elite 8 report next week.
